I found an old eBay listing for a U. I. T. & F. tool and the seller thought it was from the 1950s or 1960s.
I also found the profile of this man.
So it seems that U. I. T. & F. is in some way connected to Utensileria Schneider S.r.l.
Maybe Giuseppe L. Tavolazzi would be willing to give you some information.
Knipex made in china / Asia ?
Couple of weeks ago, i was at my local tool shop browsing the aisles of Knipex and Wera tools (as i can usually be found spending my spare time) and noticed that there were a few new tools on the Knipex stand which did not have the "Made in Germany" marking on the packing. These tools (wire stripper, crimping tool etc) were next to those which had the COO marked prominently on the packing (all sorts of pliers and regular hand tools).
To me, if a German manufacturer has not put the COO prominently on a product, then it means its not made in Germany/Europe anymore.
Thoughts ?

As far as I know Knipex marks all the tools they make themselves as "Made in Germany", but some of the OEM made tools don't have that. That doesn't mean that the OEMs are China though. For example the scissors are for Italy, screwdrivers from Slovenia and the pipe cutters are from Spain.
Knipex 97-22-240 Crimping Pliers are from Taiwan.
Knipex 16-30-135 Stripper is from England
You can check the COO for most items here: www.kctoolco.com
But i think like 99,5% of the Knipex tools are made in Germany.
Easy to see: Check the Knipex section of my store and there is a COO stated with every tool (even with a flag) https://www.jensputzier.com/tools-by-brand/knipex/
Whoa ! you're the Jensputzier ??? I keep frequenting your website and looking at all the good quality tools that you carry but leave in disappointment when i see the shipping estimates to Dubai.
Hi, can anyone identify this tool? A customer needs a new one and I have never seen this before.

As the other guys said, jewellers snips, or jewellers tin snips to be precise.
Those particular ones in your picture are made by NWS - the pliers makers.
Ich danke, in Deutschland werden sie “Goldschmiede Schnipsel” genannt!
Hopefully someone else can tell you.

Regarding jeweller's snips. Looks like Bahco bought Record at some point.

Better to measure with the fat midsections of the jaws. The calliper and Allen key have elasticity and deform under the lightest thumb pressure when the bladed tips of the jaws are used.
It’s also hard to be sure the jaws are measuring the narrowest (i.e. true) section of the Allen key when using the bladed tips.
enough for every day christmas with a new tree !Nice crop of Christmas trees you got there.

Nice pic of the knurling.
Visual comparison to Gedore sockets. Outside, there is not much difference to how well they well are finished. Both have minor defects. Inside, Hazet sockets have a much cleaner finish with less tool marks. Gedore knurling is rendered useless when the socket is fitted to a ratchet, but works well for spinning in fasteners when not attached to a ratchet.
