wow what a monster ... the Parker 978 I had with it's pretty substantial base was also 297 lbs, so for a stationary that is a chunker for sure

Superior #3. 4" Jaws that open up to 5" and weights 45lbs. Couple pretty nice vise's Meatsis. VA own one too.
I have two little vises, that I will be attempting to restore. They are not that bad of shape, only thing in on the Reed 205 1/2, the jaws are cast in place, so I really can't do anything there. The other is a Ridge or Rigid 61, that's in decent shape, but will be cleaning up soon too. I don't know how to upload pics here, I'm a newbie.
Yep that's a Hoss for sure.---Good shape too.---Can you tell who's it is KMS?
And a nice pedestal stand too.
This may be a JK Ware vise(?) It's been on the local Craigslist for a year or more.
Thought I saw it as "Improved Farmers or Machinist"Thanks a bunch, recorded. I listed as a Machinist. Thanks. Kevin
sure looks an awful lot like a Reed
That's a first for me KMS.---Didn't know they made a closed screw.
