These are some 9/32 drive breaker bars and sliding that I've collected.

Patrick Eubanks: I found some time to take a couple of pics of the ratchet in the CN50 box. Here they are. I now have two ratchets, both Gray, one with a piece of copper pipe over the handle for more leverage I’m guessing. The one without the copper handle is a model 603. You can see the stamping on the sides. The other one I can’t read a model number on it as the copper pipe is covering it probably. It also has an L and a R, one on each side. The 603 doesn’t have that designation as far as I can see. Hope that’s answers your request and what you wanted to see.
Harry
Thanks Harry

Here’s an unusual Hinsdale set I found sitting on EBay. I need some help. I have never seen Hinsdale sockets like this before but remembered someone posting a similar large set. The rachet is 1/2 hex drive and only 7” long. It is stamped A-15
Round handle as well. The hex shaped sockets are marked with the size and pat pending.

I just read this… actually it’s been about three years since I read it, but still.. remembered it, when I saw yours.

I think late twenties on those weird sockets. They are not in 31 catalog.20211117_110731.jpg
I’m wondering were they early 20s because of the patent pending notations. Sort of a transition between the pressed steel and machined. I think I do vaguely remember seeing a bob cat set with that style sockets. That would put it late twenties early 30s. I can’t believe you sleuths haven’t found the definitive answer.

That’s a cool box. Does it have the big clasp on the front?
I thought I had it all worked out but the cad plated sticker on you box is throwing me for a loop. I have a chrome nickel set with the sears sticker. A standard Hinsdale with the sears sticker and a bob cat set. All three are black boxes and not repaints. All three boxes have the smaller two latch system. I always assumed that the single latch green was the earlier version. When did the cad plated stuff start

Ok here’s another one to ponder on. This thing was found with another set of the late 20s sockets like in otg’s box above. Has a typical Hinsdale extension but I have never seen one. It’s possible it’s not Hinsdale.

I don't know who made it, but I want one! :)

Kinda sorta reminds me of the BATCO setup with the dual L-/T-handle action, but as cool as those were, they weren't offset, with a rotating grip! That thing has a lot of cool features for a mystery maker drive tool.
You know Hinsdale had the absolute worst marketing. It reminded me of the old Bethlehem set withe the erector set type pieces

It sure is cool. Haven't found anything showing it anywhere. I looked at a lot of old catalogs to see if maybe another brand.
Yes it could be something else but I can’t imagine what. Of course I saw the coolest mossberg set yesterday that I have never seen. So who knows

Sk ratchet, must have sold some to hinsdale
Have you ever seen one? The craftsman one is often claimed to be the rarest craftsman ratchet and most valuable if one were to be on open market but I have never even heard about a Hinsdale one before this

Craftsman did not sell that particular one. The bubble ratchet can be pricey, as well as the vanadium.

From internet archives. I didn't note the year.
Do you know or any sets around? Looks like it's an almost complete set but missing the case and long extension. I don't have yet but grabbing tomorrow. Not normally something I would go out of my way for but seems pretty rare

There is the full shot. It’s not even from a catalog, it’s a mailer that says prices in effect until February 1933, dating the ratchet to 1933 or older.

I can’t believe you’re posting this when I just ran into the mailer on there recently while looking for something else, and took a screenshot just because of that S-K ratchet! I hope you get it, can’t be too many out there.

Edit: no I don’t know of any examples
