Sub: maybe a good pair of gloves might be on the list to buy instead of the heated handles? looks like the kids had fun and i bet there Dad was smiling while dragging them around.
does snow usually stick around for months in your area once it shows up? we might have had a couple days of snow on the ground last year and i think the most we've had is maybe 2 weeks for the snow to stick around. since our temperature usually rises above freezing in the daytime we get a nice coat of ice on the road under the snow or black ice which is worse so driving is pretty tough for most of the people around here when we do get the white stuff.
personally i like the snow and if the people that don't know how to drive in it would stay home i'd get around nicely.
cheers and best of luck getting the electrical hooked up. also ask more questions if you need to on the sheet rock (drywall) fix. you might also want to put a couple cross members in to give the piece you are replacing some more support.
