It takes a bit to get it setup but it works simple enough when its set up. Just takes time to get all the rows' watered but this way just im puttin the water on the plants that I due want to grow. In years past we have done the blanket sprinkler and water the whole area. With this the plants get the best chance to grow.
Clothes are probaly okay just smoke damage and water logged is all. I would think. the furniture is all trashed though. This ended up being a MABAS call. House was in a small village 12 miles from my station and 6 miles from the closest station. The village has a water tower but we was going threw water pretty good so had to call in tankers to help keep up. I think heard on scene the village Pump is good for 175 Gallons a minute is all. Had 2 Engines on the attack both flowing 2 hand lines of water I want to say the engine I was on we also was feeding to the ladder as well. We just did a defensive attack as everybody was out of the house. When we got there the fire was already threw the roof and had started there as well. My department was called for a 2nd attack engine for this as it was during the day and most departments are low staffed. We are all volunteer departments in my area.
Weather was good had a bit of rain for 5min but not enough to pack it up. Nice time to talk with the legion guys as well and they like having the scouts help them out.
Drives, The garden is the wifes domain I just due the tilling and water setup.
I was thinking just put them down and put a roofing nail every 4-6 around the edge the roofing nails are easy enough to pull back out if the shingle gets all broken apart but screws would work as well. I have the shingles and don't have any other use for them. I wonder how long I would get out of the shingles before they come apart depends upon how much twisting force they see as your spinning on your foot to get turned around and such? To me its just you have a flat metal surface and add in some melted ice/snow/mud and its gonna be slippery to try and walk on. the Shingles will give me grip and be also water resistant as well. Like I said the wife wants a fire proofish floor to me I would have just used the plywood one that is there and go. but Happy Wife maybe Happy life. I just want to be inside to boil sap next year instead of outside in the cold. Want to get a few extra weekends in on making syrup and this is what I can afford. Plus I think I may pressure wash down the whole inside the shed before starting cooking to get rid or the dust and cob web's and then fire up a stove to dry the place out and then start cooking. I know when I get it emptied out of stuff i'm gonna pressure was the inside and let it dry out then put down the flooring then start moving in stove's and get them setup and secured in place as this is gonna get drugg about 50' for sap making next to house sidewalk then when sugaring is done it'll get drug back to its spot up in the tree line above the hose till the next sugaring season.
It'll be a rough 3 days but I try and make it threw.
Beer was In the out door fridge already cold when left home was still cool 3 hours later when got to campsite. Put a frozen bottle of water in with beer before unhooking power at home to keep cold. I'm good. Just waiting on noon to open the first one today! Most camper setups require 1 cold one but we went to eat at local tavern so I had to wait till supper for my first one of the night. Got back to camp and then got into it! For 1 anyway lol!
2.5 hours the boys shoot state trap torment on Sunday is why we venture this far most times with camper 1 hour or 2 away is far enough to go. Plenty of pool and pond water fun today
Had a small vice grip and pliers and was getting by then remembered i had that tool kit and sure came in handy!
