I will be stopping at my local Sears on the way home today to pick up one of these. Yes Shop your way is the same as Craftsman Club, or at least mine is.

It is still on the sears site for 29.99. I just picked one up today in store. They matched the online price. One heck of a deal. I have a bunch of the 12v nextec tools. They are great tools for the money.

I ordered one last night and then decided to order another this morning before leaving for work. I always like having more than one battery with my cordless tools. The battery alone is $25.00 sold seperately, so it would be crazy to not to add $5 more and get another whole driver package with battery. If the driver fails after the warranty period, I'll have a backup. Hope I like this thing!

You will like it if you do any work in the interior of a vehicle. Comes in very handy taking of dash panels.

I almost did the same thing just to get another battery. Then you could probably sell the 2nd tool a-la-carte on ebay for close to $30.

I picked one up today and they gave me an additional $10 off so I bought the 3year extended warranty for an extra $5. Grand total out the door was $26.51. Can't wait to try it out tonight when I get back to the shop. I may have to go back for a few more tomorrow .

Damn that's a nice deal. I threw out the nut driver bits it came with. The Philips seems ok. Gonna get another milwaukee impackt shock wave set.

Stopped last night and picked up two, for 19.99 each after the Craftsman club card was scanned (Shop your way card). The guy that was working the register walked over to the display and picked up one for himself as he was waiting for a manager to put in his code for the manual price match. He could not believe it, but he looked it up online to make sure I was not trying to get the full set for the bare tool price.

And how are people getting $5 or $10 off with SYWR/Craftsman Club cards? I put in my SYWR number and it doesn't drop the price online.

I know SYWR gives you money back, but I thought it was a more random amount, ie the first time it gave me $0.18 of something I had apparently accrued. But an EVEN $5 or $10 sounds like a Craftsman Club sale??

You have to do it in store with price-match. The discount off the in store price is $10 for club members. After the price-match, the computer still auto-applies the discount.

To apply the $5 SYWR, I went through the checkout processes until I got to the last step for payment. I clicked on the Redeem Rewards button and it came up with the $5 and applied it automatically to the order. It was weird because I only had $0.55 in rewards before I clicked the button but then the $5 just popped up.

Typical Sears!

Order Approved! Will not allow free shipping..............

Set for local PU. Shows store has 10. Order confirmed. Email says come pick it up! Store calls 30 minutes later, they can't locate it!!!!!

Sounds like they sold all them to a single individual! Not the 1st time to have that happen at this store!!!

Hopefully everyone that ordered one wont be disappointed. I stopped by my local Sears today to check them out and decided to just pass. They are pretty heavy for only being a 12v tool and that was without the battery in it. I just did not like the feel of the tool in my hand at all. Felt like I was holding a 2x4. Anyway, its hard to complain about $30 or less, so Im sure most will enjoy it.

Personal preference I'm sure. I used mine today just to drive a single 3" test screw. I was impressed by the weight, suggests to me it's not a lightweight pile of junk. It didn't seem as "raucous" - if you will - as my M12 hex impact driver, but it still drove the screw nicely. Some of the perceived difference in sound and/or power could also come from the right angle drive, or of course different clutch mechanisms, grease, case design or a million other factors.

Just picked up 3 of these. Got 19.99 each. It really is a good deal but alot bigger then my M12's. Not so compact compared to them. The only reason I would keep one for myself IF my M12's battery fits and vice versa. Room in my tool boxes is quite slim. I will bring this to work hopefully I will use it or I will play with it on my time off in the yard.

I have a boat load of these 12v tools. The regular impact is great and so is the drill. The cordless fluorescent light is just awesome. Just picked up the right angle impact yesterday. If its as good as the regular impact it would be a you **** deal. The little jig saw and rotary tool are pretty good too.

Just got mine delivered today.. I must say that I am impressed with the feel / ergonomics of it. It's a torquey little sucker too as it jumps in your hand as you pull the trigger. The LED light is not so close to the centerline that the bit obscures the light. Speaking of light, it has a battery level of charge indicator built in (me likee) to let you know when it's time to refresh the battery.
The speed control is just -ok- as it's not analogue therefore it runs through a range of what seems like 4 speeds depending upon the depth you pull the trigger.. I think that will be fine though..
Now what do I get in the email today? Another four dollars of free Shop your Way points.. I think I will go ahead and grab another and leave it boxed. If I need the extra battery, I'll grab it - otherwise it will make a great gift for my son for next Christmas!

OP - Thanks a million for the heads up on this deal... Now just go find me some $99 Gladiator 30" cabinets and I will be the happiest camper here!!!

ok, do please explain how he pulled that one off..
He signed up for the craftsman club/sywr and was able to print a coupon for $10 off. Apparently the same manager that we had dealt with had made some rude comments to piss him off, so he asked for the store manager. The store manager price matched the items no questions asked and also applied his coupon.

Just picked up two sets mainly to get an extra battery. Individual batteries are $24.99, so an extra $5.00 for a spare tool, charger, and case was a no brainer.

Seems like a solid tool - time will tell....

Similar experience, ordered the last 3 of these from my local podunk, er I mean hometown Sears today. Not to horde them mind you, but one for my carpenter buddy who didn't have time to go to the store and two as gifts (Father's Day is just around the corner).

I clicked the button for the text notification of when my order is ready. Never got a text.

Several hours after I placed the order I get a call from the local Sears but couldn't take the call and they don't leave a message. So I figure they're calling to say "Sorry we screwed up."

I get to the store and the sales lady says oh yeah, I've got one of those in back for you. She also says "I tried to call you to tell you we have your order but I didn't get an answer." Um, why the hell wouldn't you leave a message to that effect?? My voicemail is working fine BTW.

Sure enough, she comes out with one. I tell her there's supposed to be three and she says she was sure it was a typo. Says she doesn't have three but she finally locates them in the back. The store manager comes over and says, "So that wasn't a typo, there's really supposed to be three?"

Here's a perfect example of people who shouldn't be thinking trying to think. If the order sheet says THREE and THREE were paid for, just set aside three units.

It worked out in the end but typical small town Sears. I did use SEARS2013 for $5 off the order ($50 order minimum IIRC).

So I remembered they had done somethnig similar on the Nextec rotary tool awhile back - - actually it was identical: alleged regular price of $100 on sale for $30.

For those of us (myself included) who think the Sears listed $99.99 reg price may just be an inflated selling tactic price, I was just at OSH here in the Sacramento area and their price is $99.99. They had 4 or 5 of them on the shelf and I almost asked if they price matched, but thought better of it since I now have two already.

Anything made for 1/4" quick release hex shank, ie hex with a radius groove near the bottom.

You should use impact bits. Regular bits may shatter.

That said, not all bit types are readily available as impact bits. Just keep in safety in mind if you are cheating with non-impact tools.
