With it stacking it is almost tempting to buy a 3rd battery as it would net out to $19+tax. Just not sure I really need 3 batteries.

Or maybe buy this one and return my other to get my $32 of points back from that purchase.

anyone know how many can you buy ?

So does this list include the 40 or so that were quietly announced earlier this year, or is this just a new list of closings?

It looks like the last store by me in hanging in there for now!

The limit is 2 uses per person, on both the $30 back on $75 deal and the stackable extra back on power tool batteries deal. Reminder, must spend $75+ OOP (out of pocket) on each qualifying order after all points/coupons/offers.

I posted all the previous closings the last several months as they trickled out. See my key previous liquidation posts at
https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7211535#post7211535 and https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7222515#post7222515 . Today's are all-new, specially for the occasion of the sucky quarterly financial report.

See, I was curious, but not so interested that I was going to look back and cross-reference the lists.

Thanks for keeping us all in the loop!

Okay, the big closing list just came out! My local stores have both escaped, for now. The little symbols after the Sears locations have something to do with when their auto centers close, not important. Per this brief article about the DeWitt/Syracuse, New York Sears that's part of this list, I believe these are all in liquidation from tomorrow through Sep 2, or close to it.

It's only 63 total, so some of the 72 initially expected were left for another occasion. 15 Kmarts and 48 Sears.

Looks like all the Sears I've shopped at over the years in multiple states are now closed/closing, aside from the one I currently go to. I was in walking distance of the Sears in Vernon Hills, IL store for a while, sort of surprised to see that one go. That was when I first starting really getting into their reward program.

realzing this is the deal thread...

QEP Knee pads - $5.99 not a huge savings, but if you need to burn points.

Wow, that's a huge list. Looks like the theory that this is an organized liquidation of all stores is real. Just wave after wave of closings. You would think they would lose critical mass at some point to even support a network of stores.

edit: Apparently after these close, the rumor is that 7-10 stores will be closing every month. Surprisingly they still have 820 Sears/Kmarts left even after these newly announced closures.

My 2 closest stores (westland and livonia mall) stores survived another cut, but my 3rd choice in dearborn/fairlane mall is slated to close.

They used to have one of the best tool departments back in the day; I went thru there a few weeks ago and sears was a ghost town; the rest of the mall was surprisingly busy.

thanks, I got one, probably going to get another one, all my cordless are pretty much craftsman stuff... only have their 1.5AH batteries. That is why I was wondering that points give back if there is a limit. Probably going to get another one.

here is why I am asking... Today I click on it, it shows the price is $79.99 and you get $69.99 back in points..... can't combine with any other deal, but wasn't sure if you order two, you would get the 2x the points back or limit to $69.99.

Awww. The Davenport, IA store was my favorite place in the world as a kid. Now I am not even sure where my closest store is.

You'd get $70 back due to the combination of the two deals I've been posting about. $30 from it being $75+, plus $40 for the 50% back on batteries.

FYI, multiple complaints on SD of orders yesterday (5/30) and today (5/31) not appearing in people's order history, but the order does get processed in spite of that.

Down to 1 Kmart and 3 Sears. Oddly enough a semi-busy Kmart in the ghetto is going and the Sears that is near there is staying.

The Sears at the second most popular mall is closing...that should make some good quick cash, maybe Eddie decided he wanted a new car.

Anyone received their New Age 30” locker lately? Mine is still showing as processing with delivery of June 5th. Of course my cc has been charged and I had to spend the points already or they would have expired by now. I hope they ship the lockers this time

Same thing here. Last time though they canceled two days later and we've gone almost two weeks now. I used the earned points to get the Yost 6 inch woodworking hobby vise and the Craftsman mini multi-tool. They were $1.68 out of pocket.

Craftsman Cable Operated Hose Clamp Pliers - $27.77

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-cable-operated-hose-clamp-pliers/p-00949803000P

Maybe not the lowest price ever... but for the longest time, these were rarely discounted. I have a pair... I've used them a few times and they've done the job. Mine were made in Taiwan.

They are not a Hot Buy... so coupons (as well as surprise FreeCash points) should work.

Always appreciate these posts sharing the lesser known tools sears carries that are still US made, thanks.

Now that I am putting my order in their proper place in the garage, I just realized that what they sent is a Craftsman brand. I had people working at home when I got the package and I did not look close enough. Apology for this.

It is made in USA, and look exactly like the Lisle version. Maybe they have old stock in warehouse?

I got the stethoscope when it was on sale a few months ago. I found that this size of case is perfect to store it in: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-12inch-utility-case/p-00965284000P

Perfect! Thanks @Hexen!

Perfect! Thanks @Hexen!

My stethoscope is the same, ordering from the Lisle-branded product listing months ago resulted in a Craftsman-branded package. Lisle was clearly the manufacturer, the design is identical. It doesn't have Craftsman branding on the product itself. I don't know what the reason is for this situation, but it's normal for this product. There is no separate product listing for the Craftsman-branded version that I could find.

They are showing up as $38.99 for me. :(

Same for me.

I considered buying them a while back but the review is not that great imo. 3 reviews out of 25 are not favorable. I do think this can be useful when working at tight places.

Sorry... I guess the price went back up from when I saw them early this morning.

Might be worth keeping an eye on, though... I had them in my "wish list" for a while, but the only time they dropped in price was on those "Friends & Family" sale days... and then, it was only 10%. But maybe they'll discount them again more in the future.

It's not a tool I use a lot... but when taking off a fuel filter deep in the engine bay, it can be a real time saver.

Aha, they've started another round of the points-back-in-installments stuff, which applies to that item and other power tool batteries. This time it's 3 monthly installments, each good for 30 days, which isn't much risk.

Plus it seems to be stacking with the $30 back on $75+ OOP deal that's still running, where you get the points right away and they last for 30 days. So buying the $100 battery all OOP, you'd get ~$47 back to use in June, ~$17 to use in July, and ~$17 to use in August.

Got 2 of them, one order one 5/31 arrived 06/01 the other ordered on 06/01 arrived on 06/02 but missed delivery as usual (ups no surprised, you are not home even if you are, cause your door bell never worked for them.) but that was freaking fast shipping.... but I only see 40$ points back not $69.99 points back per order. still pretty dam good deal.

See the details quoted above on how the battery-specific part works - you should get the rest of the points over the next couple months. :) You can probably see them at the detailed SYW points page as pending points already.

I know this is the wrong place for this question but I don’t know the correct place to post my question. I ordered a couple things from Sears. Both items are marked as delivered by UPS. One item was delivered correctly to my home in Ky. The other item was delivered to some place in Dallas Texas. Who do I contact, Sears or UPS? Best way to contact?
Again, sorry for posting in wrong place

Are you sure the 2nd tracking number was actually for your package? (Did it originally say KY as the destination on the UPS tracking page, or did it say Dallas all along, before delivery?) Sears giving you the wrong tracking number by mistake seems a lot more likely than UPS delivering something halfway across the country from where it's supposed to be.

First, thanks for the reply. No I don’t know what it said originally regarding the tracking. Does Sears Customer Service have a chat feature? I am not finding mention of one on their site.

They do have a chat, but I think it's shut down late at night like now. It's linked on the Sears.com contact page, for later use.

Now that the $30 back on $75+ deal ended Sat night, here's its replacement, $50 back on $125+. Runs 2 weeks, Sun 6/3 to Sun 6/17. The fine print contradicts itself about whether the points will last 30 days or 7 days. Remember you must meet the spend requirement OOP (after all coupons/offers/points used).

" Spend $125 and get $50 CASHBACK in points on tools. Items sold by Sears
Expires on 06/17/2018
Members get $50 CASHBACK in points when you spend $125 or more on a qualifying tools, including hand tools, power tools, tool storage, garage door openers and electrician tools at select Sears stores. Maximum $100 in points per member. Points credit to account 24 hours after transaction. Points valid 30 days. IN-STORE and ONLINE. Points awarded next day and expire 7 days from receipt. Limit 1 time per member. Valid through June 17, 2018 11:59 PM CST. Points earned will be added to your Shop Your Way account and can be used on your next purchase. Only Shop Your Way members are eligible to earn or redeem points. ... Excludes paint and plumbing tools, Clearance, Great Price and Unilateral Pricing Policy items. Additional exclusions may apply. Also excludes DeWalt brand tools. "

A little bit higher than I've previously shared for this USA tool, but if you need one:

Craftsman 26 Leaf Offset Gauge $5.99

spin_prod_1138510712

The straight blades are also on sale, but a smaller discount:

Craftsman 36 Leaf Combination Gauge $5.99
