I did and everything is coming up looking nothing like what I have. I would not be disappointed! I am a blue crab guy (including permanent trap licenses), but oyster knives would be cool. Did you see what they weigh? Post some links.

Thanks, LS! I am now convinced. And elated. I may do some reading to see if I can find out why they want them so heavy.Google is being particularly stubborn tonight, almost a Mandela Effect in progress, but here...
Neat grips. I would have to say they are one of the most versatile tools ever made. It looks like some sort of crimping/corrugating jaw.Bought these Petersen Dewitt Vise Grip at the pawn shop for a dollar. They are missing the spring. No model number on them. Anyone recognize them and what their use is. Vise Grips are 7" long and first of this style that I have seen.

Those odd pliers look like Proto compound grips. Those things work great!
Madison, nice to see you . I thought of you the other day as I used my Wera screwdrivers to change out the thermostat and DVOM batteries. Love
Too many others to list, But I sure wish That Spintite tray was posted later so I had a shot at a PM! I can fill that sucker!
Around here, the pro's are pretty rigid about starting times. Once I walked in the front door about 15 minutes early and stood right there. Honest, mr sales, I was just getting out of the cold and rain, I'm not shopping! He threw me out anyway. Today, at a sale where they weren't handing out numbers, a group started gathering about 15 minutes before opening (and I was second!) Manager made noises about letting us in early (not that anyone actually asked), but managed to keep busy with setting up unitil official start time. Probably just being diplomatic.
The one time I got in early was quite by accident I showed up the previous day. One of the familly answered the door, told me I was early. Well, gee, sorry about that, but I'm here, you're here, you've got stuff, I've got money, and I only want to see the garage. She let me in and I got a really good deal on a vise - paid asking price and all.
BFBOB, endless estate sale stories here, but you reminded me of a sale a few years ago. I thought it opened at 9 like most. Got there late (so I thought) at 9:45. The door was wide open, and no crowd out front, only one man talking outside on his cell. I walked in, headed straight to the garage and starting making a pile. Found the Snap On ratchet I had seen in photos, and other things. Two workers heard me jingling the tools and came rushing in the garage. One guy says “What are you doing? We’re not open yet”. They looked quite angry and I didn’t know these sellers. I apologized and was a bit embarrassed as I was escorted out. When the sale opened 15 minutes later at 10, there was suddenly a line of people. I went straight back to the garage where one of the workers had left my pile under the table.![]()

Wow, that's an impressive list of goodies for short money! Well done, Provincial! It has been slow around here all winter. Friday, I had a business meeting in the morning, and wasn't able to check out a "moving sale" until noon. An acquaintance told me that big loads of newer tools were carted off in the opening minutes, so it was very picked over by the time I got there. I did get quite a bit of interesting stuff for $50.00.

I’ve got a bigger Jet and a little Delta already, but there seems to be a bunch of talk about these Craftsman block grinders here and other places so I’ve wanted to check one out for a long time. I gave $60 for this guy on OfferUp which is probably all the money? My Jet does all I need and the Delta is great for small jobs so I don’t really have a use for it if they aren’t of much value other than a conversation piece.
It’s super original/complete/and in really awesome shape. Date code is Sept 1981. Thing is a beast, can run off 220 or 120 and came with original wheels too.
Only thing it needs is a new plastic lamp shade and sears still sells it!
I already replied on the ratchet thread, but this is a Milwaukee Tool & Forge True-Fit ratchet. They owned the trademark before Lectrolite's "Tru-Fit".Tru Fit Milwaukee
No, but it's cool. Does the captive pipe-handled chain act like a locking mechanism?Pliers:
Good looking pliers with a pipe handle? Any clue ?
Again, are you playing with us? Or did you not notice the ratchet numbers??!!!!The next table over I look around and see a couple of old boxes with Ratchet Repair on them. Turns out the guys' wife's parents owned an auto parts store and these were the repair kits out of their old store! Plenty of parts left in side and the staking tools etc!
Valve lapper maybe? Or just a speedster screwdriver. Whatever it ism, I totally would've grabbed it.RagTopTA said:Speedster:
Big knobbed shorty with straight line bit ?
Very nice. I replied on Bonney thread, but I'll say again here: I've never seen one 'in the steel' or in pixels.Bonney 4 way
Cont from last post.... Bonney 4 way, DMDC and fries, asnd the ratchet repair kits. Also a funny little marked holder that I think they wanted to sell for $20...

I'm at work without access to my ****-O-Meter photos, otherwise you would see one set on MAJOR SUCKAGE right now!

I'm at work without access to my ****-O-Meter photos, otherwise you would see one set on MAJOR SUCKAGE right now! The entire haul is awesome as a whole and with some rare items and some cool mystery pieces. But are you effin' kidding me with the generic "Ratchet Repair kit" references? It may not announce it loud and clear on the outside of the cardboard boxes, but based on the ratchet numbers on the inside of the boxes, those are *&%^$#@* Plomb ratchet repair kits!

Thanks! I was pretty excited to find them!Much jelly about the rebuild kits, such nice!
Super sweet haul Rags. You certainly have an eye for the good and unusual stuff.
The ratchet kits look like the paper Proto box I posted up a while back.
I wouldn't mind seeing some close shots of the L handle. Does it look US made?
