    12'x12' Pole Barn Floor Suggestions

It's a 12' x 36' horse barn. I'm only putting a floor in one end which was the existing tack shed. It's a pole barn made of 6"x6" posts. Pole barn is the correct description. I had to use it to relay the correct information. Strange place to put your foot down weirdo.

    12'x12' Pole Barn Floor Suggestions

Thank you for the reply. I was hoping to make the floor easily removable for concrete in the future, but I believe it would be a better idea to replace the 2"x 6" perimeter with 2"x 8" pressure treated, then use the 2"x 6" boards as floor joists. There will be hangers on all of the 2"x 6"...

    12'x12' Pole Barn Floor Suggestions

No, not on short notice. There is a waiting list. I don't want a gravel floor. I'm not storing lawn equipment, I'm storing personal belongings.

    12'x12' Pole Barn Floor Suggestions

Hello everyone, I'm looking to add a cheap floor to a 12'x12' existing pole barn. This is not for a client, it is for my personal use. Concrete is not an option, because I have to have this done over the weekend. The floor is going to need to last max 5 years, and will only be used as a storage...

    wiha ratcheting combination wrench set

Honestly those don't look too terrible. I don't mind wiha, but right on the top of the page: selling Wiha made hand tools in the United States What the hell is a wiha made hand tool. The sad attempt at deception makes me run the other way. It's just like saying "100% california cheese" I...

Help deciding how to hang LED tubes

I purchased them without fixtures because they had the exact specs I was looking for. Most all of the led fixtures with bulbs installed required me to make some sort of sacrifice to the light quality I was after. These are made in the USA, and they offer a 5 year warranty with free returns...

    PSA Sandpaper Storage Solution

I totally agree. In this case I decided to put the money toward some nice powered respirators instead. It took about 5 hours to build the box with some simple tools.

    My Dad

It sounds like you are referring to a grill cleaning brick. They are made of a very light pumice stone, and put off a sulfer like odor when used. I have never seen the material in sheets though.

Still a work in progress. The next addition is going to be a place to store all of the wet/dry paper.

Running Ethernet into a Pole Barn

A tip for anybody looking to run ethernet to their shop: I ended up going with the netgear powerline adapters. They run an encrypted ethernet signal through the power wire. My shop is 150' away from the house. Power is 100A using 01/01/01/1 urd brurial cable. It gets a full signal, even with...

Deadbolt with minimal door damage (small hole?)

The only option as far as I know would be a mortise lock. They are not common in the states, and they are rather expensive. https://www.locksonline.co.uk/Union-2332-Mortice-Nightlatch-cw-Cylinder-and-Turn.html...

Looking for ideas. Anyone set up their garage with nothing touching the floor?

Hanging hose and cord reels in my opinion are necessary in any shop. If it saves you 15 minutes a day, that's about 65 hours per year. I'm working on getting some of my stuff off of the floor. I have 3 steel cabinets, and a paint cabinet. My plan is to use galvanized pipe for the main...

    Wall framing question

That sounds like a real PITA. I don't see the 2x6 method eliminating any issues. It will need some sort of support in the middle to keep it from flexing. Especially if you are using 3/8" - 1/2" plywood. 3/4" plywood would eliminate the flex, but it is going to be very expensive. I've got no...
