OK, 1st off, anyone filled their expansion joints? I have lots of stuff on wheels and noticed a few chipped edges on the joints. Will sealing it prevent this? Also, the 3' approach to my pole barn has some hair line cracks........is there a sealer I can put on it to keep water for causing more...

Went to the local concrete place and I bought some sealer. I just got my floor poured yesterday after waiting almost 2 years!! I heard about cure & seal but this says its just a "sealer". The salesman said it would be fine to put on now but i'm not so sure. Its made by "The Phillips Companies"...

I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to do. I have a Pole barn with metal roof and sides.........its more for storage than anything but will try to work out there on the weekends if I can get the time. Can I get away with just some 7/16" OSB between the poles?

Got a pole building........was thinking 1 1/2" foam board between the girts and 7/16" OSB over that between the poles. Does that sound good??

I've been pretty slow adding the floor to my pole barn due to $$ etc. but the town wants the final inspection. Do most people add a strip(not sure what its called?) around the inside? I had one guy come over and he said thats what he'd do. I was just going to put 2" coduit for the service box...

Figured I start my own thread to share with everyone here. Few weeks back got the permit to build. My brother offered to do the site prep for cheap. :thumbup: He came over on 5/9 for only a few hrs to dig some stumps as he got a call for another job. :( I'm hoping he can come this weekend!

When my pole building is up, i'm going to want a wood burning stove. I am getting metal roof and sides.......will I have any problems with water leaks if I go straight up thru the roof? Any pics around how you seal up there? Thanks!

Having a 30x40 built. Got the sealed plans back and see the top chord is a 2x6 and the bottom a 2x4!?!? Looking at some other plans, I see a 2x6 on the bottom as well. Should I insist on the 2x6? Please, please help me out asap as I want to bring the plans to the town today. :confused:

OK, I'm getting closer to getting my dream building. Where I'm putting it, water settles sometimes but its mostly dry in the summer. Is it normal to cost 2k for the site prep work? I just want to do it right. I tried searching but came up empty. One guy said use QP? Any ideas?
