My First Shop Build (40x50x14) - feedback appreciated

I would consider going to 16’ tall it doesn’t cost too much more to go taller and you will thank me later. Find a way to get a bathroom maybe a turd pump and pump it into existing tank. for the drain I had them form a 2” lip around the drain pit and cut some old galvanized 2” square tubing I...

    Door size

I put in a 14’ x 20’ door in my new shop. Maybe you don’t want a 20’ wide door but I would absolutely for sure put in a 14’ tall door. No way a modern 5th wheel camper will go in a 12’ door.

Was this wire mesh laid correctly?

I have had good luck patching holes and even broken corners using thin set that used to stick tiles. It sticks really good and matches the concrete pretty well too. It ***** to get a half a$$ job but you might as well just live with it. Probably should have took the day off and over seen what...

Was this wire mesh laid correctly?

Those voids are clay balls, I worked In a sand pit mining sand years ago. When we would wet screen rock the clay wouldn’t break down and go through the screen, ending up in the concrete.

How to clean my concrete floor to remove dust?

Go to the farm store and buy a bag of pine saw dust used for animal bedding. I put it in leakproof trash barrel and add used hydraulic oil or any clean oil and mix it up and let it sit. dump a can of it on the floor and push it around, it will leave the floor polished.
