    Old auto paint-toss it?

I have many quarts some new, never opened. DP40, DP90 etc. Most is from early 2000, some late 90's. I figure its not worth the risk right? Toss it all? Or just the previously opened ones? I can add pictures later. Or only use it to paint tool stands and the like? :dunno:

Ford trans - speedo - engine swap help!

So here I am nearing the end of my wife's V8 Volvo swap. Many loose ends but light at the end of the tunnel. What I am trying to figure out now is how do I get the proper speedo drive gear to spin a cable? The 4RW70 from a 2WD 2000 Explorer never had a cable. I added an AOD tail shaft housing...

    50 amp plasma confusion

So I bought a Lotos 50 amp plasma. The cord says 30 amp and I'm getting questions about that cord for a 50 amp tool. Does the plasma generate amps? I went to gather wire and receptacle for a 50 amp tool and showed the guy at the hardware store the cord which clearly states 30 amps. He suggested...

    Installing carpet from bulk

Certain projects make me want to give up cars as a hobby. Laying carpet is one. The front section will be (has been) easy. The back section where the rear passenger foot wells are is giving me fits. I have gotten some helpful advice on another forum. Just always a good idea to see if others can...

water water everywhere, pole building leaks

A few months ago I had a drip coming from the ceiling in my 3 rd bay. I have standing seam metal roof. No exposed fasteners. I figured the Fir trees did me dirt and I was the victim of a Fir needle dam. So I made my way up on the roof, after it was dry. Cleaned up the area where the 2 roofs...

as seen in this thread..... http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=273173 My house has a variety of water issues. The hammering is done with now. We put in a new pressure regulator and now the pressure is a steady 50 PSI. Was all over the place and much too high. What it didn't...

    Air filter/reg question

Running 3/4" lines and wondering what, if any, problems I might have if I use a 1/2" filter regulator near the compressor? Have a old Sears 1/2 that needs work. 3/4 is more expensive and harder to find. Thoughts welcome!

Found some dry rot under my vinyl siding. I have a limited amount of access to the area where the flashing comes over the siding. I have a 15 x 15 skylight over my atrium and I really dont want to open the flashing up. Open a big can of worms. I'll tear off T1-11 that is (was) under vinyl. So...
