Do you wear your wedding band?

Mine has been on my finger for 31+ years, never off other than to have it cleaned. Never scratched anything. Had it hang on a door jamb once, had to have it cut off then. There are safety issues, but one must be careful as with all things in life.

    High ceiling attic stairs ??

Build your own. They are very easy to do, hing them at the landing and they can be drawn up out of the way. If needed a counterbalance and cable makes it easy to lift up.

    new forum topic idea

As a member of more sites than I can recall, I only have this to say - stop printing it here, it does no good. If you want to write, then write those in power from your respective states - tell them what your issues are - get something done - become part of the solution rather than a...

Jeff! It's a shame you don't have anything to do........... What size is the building? Oh, and I love the old "Belt Lathe", I haven’t seen one of those in a few years. You certainly are well equipped. Doesn’t look like there is much you can’t do there. What state are you in? I need some...

If you have the following, small bench drill press you can make your own. Go to Home Depot or Lowes. In the area where they sell metal, i.e. aluminum angle, specifically 1"x1"x1/8"x36" and buy a stick or two. Now, trail over to the area where the wood dowels are kept, you nees a 1" diameter...

1000lbs, OMG! What are you going to put on it?! You can get the same size caster with locks in a 300 to 400 lb range and save a few bucks. Slick table though. Here in the Dallas area, we have several steel suppliers that have various drops for consumption. Worst case, pay to have it cut to...

    My New Shop

Thanks Dave. I don't want to badmouth any competitor out there. Suffice it to say, regardless of what you purchase, Automobiles, Cameras, TV, Stereo or dog food, there are either sub-grade models with less to offer (amenities) or a lower priced version, including a metal shop building. The...

    My New Shop

Fortunately, I work for a company here in the Metroplex (Garland, TX) that sells and erects metal buildings. The brand is an "American Buildings Company" building. Certainly not the cheapest, but I had it engineered to withstand 120 MPH winds (Costal Breeze). We are right in the path of...

    My New Shop

Thanks! Presently, I am doing all of the electrical and air. Once done with that, then Lights. Then wall panels up to 8" painted white (gloss for ease of maintenance). After that, on the left rear quadrant, I am building a mezzanine 12'x30'. Across the back of the same quadrant, on the...
