Thoughts on a newly patented screwdriver?

I agree the original post should be edited and this whole thread may turn direction for the OP. With the accessories he stepping into a "Dremel do it all platform" which I could see a use for. As far as just selling the original 2-1 screwdriver without accessories I would not be interested for...

    My Genius Tool Review

I was getting frustrated at Hiball because his pictures didn't load until I realized this is a 2010 thread.

What did you do "TO" your garage today?

I got 4 large Norway maple trees removed today. One had a very large branch that overhung my garage. Every time the wind blew Id cringe. I'll definitely sleep better now. The tree company had a real professional crew of about 10 guys. Worked nonstop all day.

New e-bay seller backing out of deal.

EBays not going to do much. Crappy tactic on the the sellers part. I can see them not wanting to lose $1.5 on the compressor. Id shake my head and move on.

    selling home, requested repairs

If all your buyer is asking for is a few outlets updated I suggest to quit clicking keys and start changing the outlets. All that work could be completed in 30 minutes by any competent individual. When I bought a home I bent the seller over backwards doing repairs. Nothing about a home...

    Small angle grinder question

All my grinders have switches. With that said if I needed another I'd probably buy a paddle. I have two makitas and a Milwaukee...don't buy a makita. I've had 3 makitas total and on all three the blade locking button has popped off. They are still usable but just makes it a pain.

Replace a recent-ish garage door opener with a new one?

Id call liftmaster and see if the liftmaster 881 opener (the one in your picture) is comparable with your current set up. If it is buy it separate for $30 off Amazon. I just installed one on my garage.

Sad quality of Gearwrench 120XP ratchets

^^^its not about what it looks like on the outside. It's the abuse that potentially occurred before the OP received the set. Send me your tools I'll use them for a while then after I've used a pipe on you ratchet and hammered a couple nails with it you can have your new ratchet back.

Sad quality of Gearwrench 120XP ratchets

I don't usually comment on the tool polishing threads but those look like they've been previously used. I have a drawer full of Gearwrench ratchets that never came looking like that.

How to make a snow pusher (shovel)?

You could use a plastic 55 gallon drum cut to size. Maybe a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket could also be used. The rake handle would work but it's all going to depend on how durable the handle is attached to the plastic. Id like to see what you come up with as I may copy your idea. I do agree the...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I installed a timer on the garage door today (liftmaster 881). We have a newborn so I was afraid the wife would get preoccupied and forget to close the door. I also replaced the keyless entry pad that stopped working.

    Edsal 72"H x 72"W x 24"D Steel Welded Storage Rack $99

I think they come from the same company. The gladiator shelves have a thicker paint on them. Id buy the gladiator if it could be had for around the same price because I like the paint job better. I have 3 edsal shelves they work great.

    Detached garage security

Both my garage entry doors have 1/4 steel plate on the inside strike plate side. Everything is installed using 3" structural screws. I also have a double strike plate also secured with structural rated screws. I also have 2 motion lights on the garage. It's way over kill for my neighborhood but...

    Repurposed cabinet to bolt bin

I like this idea. I've been trying to organize just about everything in my garage over the last year. Sams club sells a wire rack with bins for storage that I was going to use for bolts. I like this idea better as no saw dust can collect.

Anyone wax their 44 or 55 inch Harbor Freight tool box?

I don't even wax my truck. I don't think it has anything to do with it just being a HF box. Some people just take extreme pride in everything they own and have extra time to do thing like wax toolboxes and lawn mowers.

To Ridge Vent Roof? or Keep it Capped?

I would vent it. Since you took the time to make the soffit vents functional it would make sense to install a ridge vent. One piece of the puzzle does not work well without the other.

    Strange light wiring problem.

I'm an amateur but why is the neutral and hot wires being crossed in the image? In the junction box I would keep hot with hot and neutral with neutral wires. If it worked this way that could be your problem. If I'm wrong someone tell me why so I can try to understand. I can't figure out how to...

Buying and rebuilding used gas power tools?

I did exactly what you plan to do. Before I bought my first home I picked up everything I would need and fixed it then stored it in a storage unit. I had no idea how most these tools and appliances worked before I jumped in and started fixing them. I found most of them just needed the carb...
