    Got my new Snap-on cart!

Can you put your prybars or large screwdrivers in the slots on the side of the cart? The reason I ask is i have the hf. 5draw cart and I can't fit any of my snapon pry bars except the smallest one. The top compartment isn't deep enough so the lid wont close right. Same thing with my large...

Who makes 1/2" dr. 12 pt. impact sockets with sizes that are prominently marked?

Re: Who makes 1/2" dr. 12 pt. impact sockets with sizes that are prominently marked? The snap on impacts are not laser etched but they have a large stamp and it seems the more you use the socket the more prominent the stamp becomes. All the laser etched sockets I've dealt with tend to wear off...

    Impact survay

I recently bought a 1/2 earthquake from harbor freight. I got it for $70 something. It runs like a raped ape it is heavier then other guns but not terribly so. I've only had mine for a short while but other members here have reported owning them for years with daily use/abuse.

    Snap-on trading

What happens on my local truck is say you buy a tool barely use it for whatever reason and some other tool you really need or want shows up. I just ask him what will he give me for trade in and if he will add it to the new purchase. Usually if its not beat to hell he gives fairly decent prices...

Whats the most dis-liked tool in your shop ?

My " please delete" . When it first came out it was awesome. Now though the chrome is peeling,it doesn't hit as hard and it still smells funny ( left it out in the sun a whole week. And it still stinks). Im pretty sure i stripped some teeth in my please delete. My please delete dealer doesnt...

    craftsman easy-ready sockets...

I have a set in 1/2 standard and they haven't worn off. Its hard to describe but the socket seems to scratch easily. They are not deep gouges just small surface scratches and a lot of them it's almost the same as a water bottle that rolls on the floor for a while. Well once the whole socket is...

    1/4" drive impact socket set

:lol_hitti My local cornwell truck has a boatload of 1/4 impact sockets. If you have a local cornwell truck hit him up. The only problem is im looking through the catalog and don't see a master 1/4 impact socket you have to piece together stuff. Btw I have the snap on general service set the...

    Snap-On KRSC101 vs KRSC33A Roll Carts

Why not a 60 bottom with a stainless or wood top. If its not a stock option have a local shop fab up a top. It may not be a cart per se but its an option.

    Snap-On KRSC101 vs KRSC33A Roll Carts

For all those tools I would think you need a 40 or 46. I haven't seen a 101 in person but it seems like you would have all your tools in a pile or very tightly crammed. I have a 5 drawer cart made from a company which shall remain unnamed but its all ready full and as soon as funds allow ill be...

    Snap-On KRSC101 vs KRSC33A Roll Carts

Depends will this future cart hold some tools on as needed per job basis or do you want somewhere to put items on top like a work bench? Those 2 carts are very different. Personally id recommend the 33 or even a 46 (the one with drawers all the way down maybe a 41) and just get a bluepoint no...

    Catching **** for cleaning tools...

If you are busting out the buffing tool to bring back the shine on your ratchet I might flick you some ****. But if you are just giving them a quick wipe with a rag then tell them that when they start buying your tools you will start taking their opinion seriously...

    Cleaning up rusty sockets

With my snap on impact sockets just constantly using them keeps the rust off. They do rust up very fast but only a very light coat. For example over a weekend or a few days with out use they tend to have a light brown film 15 seconds on a gun and they are good to go. If I remember and most times...

what tools have you actually broke while using?

Forgot about this one. I had an evercraft 3/4 ratchet grenade itself while being commandeered/abused as a hammer out in a rice paddy. It is now welded in to a breaker bar call it the circle of life or something .

    Need a new mobile toolbox/cart

Why not keep the boxes since they are already set up and find a welding fab shop to make a super tough cart. Since they are building around your boxes they could build in some sort of locking system...
