Cutting copper lugs with oscillating multi tool

Are these post solid or hollow? Is access limited? Multi tool would probably be the last tool I would reach for unless I’m trying to cut them off flush with a floor. Portaband like listed about would be great if access is not an issue. Honestly you could cut 5mm copper with a pipe cutter.

Brain Trust assist needed on a Tool Cart

The whole purpose of a flip top is for the deep top til. If you don’t need this top til then why not just go with a roller like recommended above and probably save some money. For instance in my flip top I have my pry bars stored vertical along with screwdrivers and impact sockets

A reason to own a rotozip

Thought this was the ticket in the 21st century. :dunno: Works great on standard boxes on old work but I have yet to see a drywall crew with a multitool rather than a rotozip

Slide out table for miter saw advice

Yes use that as the telescoping section. Sure it won’t slide as smoothly but it will be a lot stronger and cheaper. After saw dust gets on the drawer slides they won’t function as smooth either.

Having Internet Fiber brought up ~200m from the road. Anything else I should ask them to throw in the trench?

If I were paying for it and money was not an object. I would have them shoot a directional bore and pull back future path conduit. Not sure how the soil is in Ontario but can’t imagine them hand trenching like they do down here in FL

Grounding point of cable/phone demarcation box?

No offense but it sounds like you are looking for someone to agree your way is the right or better way. Is it acceptable? I guess that depends on the installer. Is it right? Not according to the company I work for but I’m in Florida the lightning capitol. The who purpose of the ground in...

Grounding point of cable/phone demarcation box?

In a perfect world it’s a distinction without a difference in reality how many houses are not grounded properly. Like I said it’s your house do what you want but don’t be surprised if the tech is required to run his own ground to the meter ground rod and put the demarc on the exterior of the...

Fireball Tool Hardtail Vise - The Best Vise On The Market???

Don’t get me wrong the fireball vise is impressive but the 600s did pretty good. It took 359 blows from a 75lb sledge. I’m pretty sure that is way more than most normal people will ever put it thru. I would be in the market for a hardtail if it was about 1/2 the size. My bench isn’t big...

Grounding point of cable/phone demarcation box?

Bonding and grounding are two different things. Bonding is what you are referring to by connecting the metallic cable sheath to the internal building ground. Grounding is when the metallic cable sheath is connected to earth ground IE meter ground or a telco ground that has been resistive...
