About 25% more volume than what you're casting is a good start.

    Painted Metal Siding

You can paint galvanized, but it does take proper prep: https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/ask-sherwin-williams/problem-solver/peeling-cracking/peeling-from-galvanized-metal By the time you do all of that, you may be ahead to just replace the panels with color finished panels.

    1935 Gas Station Resurrection

The electric chair is an ugly way to go, but it does seem like putting them to sleep like a rabid animal would solve a number of issues.

    1935 Gas Station Resurrection

Good to hear that he was caught, but better that he didn't do much damage as there seems to be little chance of restitution from him. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like there is much chance of him changing his ways either.

    EPDM advice

I agree both to that 15 years should not be the lifespan and that repairs to damaged areas are made all the time. However, if it is failing in multiple places and leaking, something else went wrong (inferior materials, improper installation, whatever) and you're likely to be constantly chasing...

    EPDM advice

When it gets to that point, you're pretty much looking at a new roof. You'll constantly be chasing leaks otherwise.

    Condensation in Garage

Vapor barrier on the warm (humid) side of the insulation and then a proper amount of insulation. Since the garage will dip to outside temperatures when the door is open, insulate it like an exterior wall. As for a dehumidifier, you'd have to dry out the whole house to the point that it would be...

    Condensation in Garage

That looks like just plastic over the back of the drywall - no insulation. So yes, you're going to get a pile of condensation without any insulation.

    Condensation in Garage

How is the wall insulated? Just like you get condensation on a glass of ice water in the summer, the humidity in the warm air will condense on the cold wall.

    Dump insert- thoughts?

There is the question of where to store the insert when you're not using it - and how to get it in and out of the truck. Depending on how often you use it, I've just rented a dump trailer here and there from the local yard.

Hillside detached garage in PA - moisture barrier suggestions?

Ok, good to hear. I've seen some situations where an engineer wasn't involved and the builder didn't understand the difference between a basement (where all sides are buried and the earth is exerting equal pressure) and a retaining wall (where one side is buried and the earth is trying to...

    The "Workshop Build" Financing Question

Another vote for saving up. As KD says, you're not likely to get out of it what you put into it - unless you can find the perfect buyer who wants exactly what you've put together. Figure out the costs to do the shell and save up that much before you start. Then finish it off as you can. The...

Hillside detached garage in PA - moisture barrier suggestions?

So, did you get those retaining walls designed by an engineer? Is there reinforcing in the walls that ties into the foundations?

How big would this garage/building need to be?

I'm old enough that my start at drafting was pen and ink on mylar. So I could pull out all of my tools from the drawer. However, any more I do everything in CAD. Much easier to move things around and such without erasing and redrawing.

How big would this garage/building need to be?

Probably easier to do it online - it does all the scaling for you.
