Stone's indeed got some good stuff - you can get some of it in Illinois for sure, or at least you could....I bought some last summer.

Got the refinished cabinets up on the wall

Well, they're up! Still tinkering with what will go where and what to do with the space beneath the taller one. And the benches will get started soon too, but that's about where they will be.

So I think I'll ditch the metal wire shelving and arrange the benches/cabinets something like this. Also - showing off the neat emblem the guy riveted onto the cabinet - he said it came off a fire truck in a town not far from here. No clue how old but looks pretty cool. And the big Dawn vice...

Thanks Deezee - i think i know that style. I should have pics up later showing the rough location of benches so I can better eyeball where I want to mount the cabinets.

Here's the handles before being sprayed to match the inside color - and same color on the others you can see in the background in previous posts. Deezee - did yours look like this? Also check out the overspray mess... I do think it'll clean up ok with a lil elbow grease

I cannot imagine attempting such a job with a 4inch grinder... i was sore as hell just stripping some cabinets down with mine!
