    Chuck run out

    Hi Gents Finally got the motor for my old Beaver and the chuck isn’t true. Whoever had it last, did a good job cleaning it and lubing it from top to bottom. I figured I start with removing the chuck. It has ball bearings? Says Supreme Chuck on it. Any advice?

    Drill press electric motor

    I bought an old Beaver drill press and when I plugged it in there was clicking and then smoke came out of the motor. Now nothing. To replace the motor are all 1/2 hp 7250 RPM the same? it looks like it is a popular size for furnaces.

    Paint for a workbench

    I want to paint the front of my workbench black. It was a military test bench and the paint has stood up really well. Any suggestions on what paint to use? I want it to be equally tough and not scuff easily. Should I remove the old paint? Primer? Sand? Thanks Rod

    Ripping aluminum

    I have these pieces of aluminum that I want to use as drawer pulls for my workbench. Would like to rip off the right side edge. Can I use my table saw? Or even my tile saw? I’d like a clean cut and not lose a finger. Any ideas guys?

    How long does your garage door open compared to close? I have a 10’ heigh by 16 ‘ wide door. Pretty old, so I guess pretty heavy. Liftmaster 8500. 19 seconds to go down and 24 seconds to go up. I’ve lubed the spring really well, just wonder if it needs to be adjusted.
