    SK Cushion Grip Screwdrivers

I'm guessing it's probably already been mentioned, but aren't they EXACTLY the same as the old Craftsman Professional? Thought Western Forge made them for Craftsman, I guess they kept the same molds for SK? (I don't remember them having these years ago?... maybe not...)

    Length of SK wrenches?

I bought a single SK 9/16 long pattern on HJE day just to see how they looked. Pretty good quality but beam and open end on the small and narrow side. After seeing the long pattern, I couldn't imagine anyone wanting the standard length...

Apex's handling of the Armstrong Brand closure

^^^THIS^^^ Price is everything now days unfortunately... this isn't just tools. Its appliances, furniture, clothes, etc Think about those three above, almost 100% now are made somewhere else because of price...

    Should I buy SK?

A good place to get would be (HJE) Harry Epstein's. I have a few SK pieces, good quality. Wright is normally priced about the same. (Can get from HJE also) My preference is Wright, SK however has a larger tool line. Can't go wrong with either..

    Is this tool a Craftsman...or a crapsman?

I would think that each line (Sears and Stanley) would be totally different. If Stanley does increase quality like they say they are, there is no way that they would make the same product that's anywhere close to Sears's version. We all know Sears is going to continue to make cheap ****, so...

    Is this tool a Craftsman...or a crapsman?

The only thing I can think of that I've ever liked from Stanley is their tape measures.... Just picked up another one several months ago when I noticed they were made again in USA. Very happy with my purchase.. But I would never buy any other tool from them though....

    1/2 inch vs 13mm

The Craftsman 1/4 drive set I got 20 years ago only went up to 12mm. (Later on I purchase the 13mm single) My guess would be in most situations you would be using a 3/8 drive for a bolt that size, so only have that size available as a single... keeps the set price lower.

Stanley Black & Decker buys Craftsman

I know a lot of people complain about these threads (or Craftsman threads in general) however those people are in the minority because the Craftsman threads are the largest threads on the site. (I admit I search them out...:)) I mean really, how many "I love my Harbor Frieght 44.... " threads...

Stanley Black & Decker buys Craftsman

I agree it is what it is. I also agree that what I feel is right is only my opinion.. the no hassle warranty more than pays for the bad apples mentioned above.....and with that I'll let it go, its not my money...

Stanley Black & Decker buys Craftsman

I'll go one step further, I'll agree that Sears would want to warranty a broken tool to someone who purchased a broken tool from a yard sale, to have the chance for that person to USE THE TOOL and hopefully like it enough they will purchase more from Sears later.... The bad apples in my opinion...

Stanley Black & Decker buys Craftsman

I admit I'm in the camp that it's not right to buy a broken tool from someone and take it to Sears expecting a brand new tool. As stated by others, Sears is very aware of people doing just that, but advertising the "no hassle" warranty more than pays for the few that take advantage of it, so...

Stanley Black & Decker buys Craftsman

I think Craftsman has been doomed for awhile. Everyone expects USA made, but not willing to pay the premium for it to be Made in USA... they had no where to go. If they stayed USA, people would complain they are too expensive, so they moved it off shore and kept prices the same, and they get...

    SK tools core focus

Wondering where SK focuses where they push and sell thier tools. They have an impressive tool line, but I wonder what their core end users are? Snap on, Mac, Matco are all automotive centered mainly with their tool trucks. Wright seems like it's focused on the the Industrial side. (Seems to...

    Bench grinder power

I agree about free standing it. We have ours at the farm shop mounted that way. This is in my garage, so mounting that way isn't an option. I've considered not even putting it on the bench since i originally (25 years ago) purchased it mainly to sharpen lawnmower blades.... I've since learned...

    Bench grinder power

I mounted my bench grinder and looking to see how others ran their power cords. Hate to have the cord laying on the bench and plugged into the wall in front of the bench. I was going to center an outlet on the bench, haven't done it yet because i'm still trying to figure out how I want to plug...

    Husky Cabinet--Home Depot rocks!

I always thought Home Depot was the best out of the big three (Home Depot, Lowes and Menards) You might pay a little more but they normally carry higher quality stuff. (or at least can order it online) Customer service at the store I go to is always top notch..
