    Alloy Artifacts not reachable

I've been trying to get to AA's site for a couple of days, haven't been able to. Got a pop-up just now that said they may have moved, or be having some kind of trouble at their end. Anyone else got this problem?

    Restoring lettering on plastic-handle tools

I couldn't find an existing thread on this topic (though I'm pretty sure it would have been discussed previously), so... Does anyone have a good method for restoring the white paint often seen in the lettering on some plastic-handle tools (e.g. S-K, many others) without making a large mess and...

    Wizard Lobster Claw pliers

I just picked these up at a Restore - pretty classy-looking pliers, and quite clean. But I haven't been able to find out which maker the "W" stamp refers to (assuming that's what it is). Does anyone have that info? Thanks!

    Early Cornwell 7/16" tappet wrench

I have a Cornwell 7/16" tappet wrench, likely from the late 1920s, according to Alloy Artifacts. It's in decent shape, with the usual wear and toolbox rash. $6.00 plus shipping to CONUS. Thanks for looking.

Large spring clip for Craftsman 44975 1/2" ratchet

I'm looking for the spring clip that holds the donut retainer ring in place on the Craftsman 44975 ratchet. Anyone have a stray? I'm willing to buy it, or trade tools (Snap-on, S-K, Utica, Proto, other Craftsman, etc.) for it. I don't need a whole rebuild kit (though I realize I might have to...

a lucky lucky day in CT

I picked up this little ratchet at a consignment place, not knowing what it was, since it was completely covered in hardened grease and dirt (and since I'd never seen one of these before). A little cleaning and the Snap-on brand emerged, along with the "G", which I think points to 1945 as the...

1/2" double male hex adapter, 3" long, Indestro? $5.00

Does anyone need one of these? This one has no brand on it, but I suppose it might be a Duro/Indestro item. It's in good shape, no issues. $5.00 + shipping to CONUS.

Has anyone heard of this company? Sawyer Belt Hook Co., SAWILCO

This appears to be a machinist's setup wedge. It's a heavy little chunk of steel. I looked for companies with any variation of the SAWILCO part - nothing. Then I noticed the little circle with "RI" in it. I googled (just for fun) SAWILCO 1767 Rhode Island, and found a Family Search piece about a...

    Wanted - S-K Tools 12mm comb. wrench #8312

Does anyone have one of these in 12mm size that they'd part with? It needs to be same style markings - trying to finish a set. A 13mm would be nice too. (I do have an S-K 13mm but it's just S-K, not S-K Tools.) Happy to purchase, or trade; pls let me know what you're looking for. Thanks!

Stevens Walden 3139 1/4" drive socket spinner -

Here's a Stevens Walden 3139 1/4" drive socket spinner with a 3" shank. It has some scuffs and dings, but overall it's not bad. Pretty hard-to-find. $12.00 plus shipping to CONUS.

    Odd Craftsman screwdrivers

Can one of you Craftsman experts please tell me what's going on here? I just found these two items today - the handles say they're both 41948 3/8" nut drivers, but...but...they're clearly screwdrivers, a slot-head and a Phillips #2. I am very puzzled (not difficult for me to be in that...

Sears Craftsman 83914 drop light - $20.00 plus shipping

Is anyone looking for one of these to complete your all-Craftsman workshop? It's in pretty good shape except for being missing the bulb protector/reflector. The cord on the reel is good - the insulation isn't damaged or brittle. Likewise the cord and plug that go to the outlet. The cord reels in...

    Craftsman vanadium water pump pliers

Please forgive me if this has already been discussed! (If so, I couldn't find it.) Does anyone else have a pair of these? I'm beginning to think they may not be common. BT stamp is either Vlchek or New Britain, late '30s, according to the code list. I can't find a catalog that mentions them...

    Atlas Tool Company, New York

I just found a pair of Button-pattern pliers stamped "Atlas Tool Co. N.Y.". Very old-looking, still in somewhat useable condition. Can't find any references to this company on the internet. Anyone out there with any sightings or information?

    Craftsman forged arbor wrench

Here are a couple of interesting Craftsman items I just acquired - a forged arbor wrench and a suspiciously similar double open-end. Neither has any markings other than the Craftsman brand. They were in the same toolbox at a flea market; they look like they might be a set. The double open-end...

    yet another weird tool

Just acquired this thing. After a lot of searching around, it might be a vintage multitool, or a stove lid lifter, or ??? It appears to be cast steel, was heavily rusted when found, but cleaned up rather spectacularly. Had hoped to find a name somewhere under the rust but no luck. Anyone?

    identifying bonsai shears

There are some post on GJ that mention bonsai shears, but I don't see one about identifying them. I suppose this might be out of the field of interest for a lot of GJrs, but here goes anyway. ...I recently found these shears; they look like a quality tool. All my image search abilities failed...

Ellrich Hardware Mfg. Company, Plantsville, CT bicycle wrench

This has me completely stumped (okay, that's not too hard to do). I can't find a single mention of a "Rich Tool Company" or of a "penny-farthing" tool company logo. Anyone seen either of these? Here are some pics of the item. It's pretty darn cute and rather nicely-made.
