    Compressor tank expiration

I can't say that I blame them for label. Most people are stupid and don't drain the tank or give it an inspection every-one-in-awhile.

anyone familiar with CP QRS5.0 screw compressors?

Good call on the Mann filters. That's most likely the OEM for Atlas Copco (AC) since AC doesn't make anything except the sheet metal panels and the airend (compressor module). Wix is another good brand. Buy the parts (AC or aftermarket) from a reputable supplier and avoid the cheap clone parts...

I decided I wanted to see what all the fuss was about for these nano sockets and a long ratcheting handle.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Took way too long to replace an eight inch section of coolant hose on the C70. The job would have gone more quickly if I had been able move the power steering pump. Unfortunately, when I went to loosen the belt tensioner it broke at the place where the bit was inserted to move the tensioner. I...

    Compressor determination??

The IR 234 compressor is rated from 3 - 5HP. The power goes up as the speed of the compressor goes up. The compressor sheave is a standard size. The motor pulley size is dependent on the motor RPM and power rating. Your local distributor can get you the engineering data page for the bare compressor.

I finally invested in a high quality wire stripper. So far I am very impressed as the few sample cuts I made with the tool were effortless and looked great. Weicon Wire Stripper No. 5

drywall screws loose in plastic anchors

I don't use the installation hardware that comes with the product, either. I use either one of the two types above. The anchor screws will most likely work in the existing holes.

Bostitch compressor and nailer kit - Is it worthwhile?

I have that compressor and nail guns (mine also came with a stapler) and used to rebuild the downstairs of my home after it flooded during Hurricane Harvey. The tools and compressor work great. The compressor is loud.

Replacement 12v test light for OTC 3633

According to the description on this site then the OEMTools 25936, and the Actron CP7841 have a threaded tip much like the OTC. It wouldn't surprise me if both tools were made by OTC.

Introducing Pinless Universal Impact Extension Sockets That Deliver More Torque

I've noticed that the GJ site redirects your browser to about four other sites before getting to the page where you wanted to be. I'm sure it has to do with marketing revenue for this site with which I don't have an issue. I've found that if you right mouse click the hyperlink and then select...

I've been wanting to get an upholstery set for awhile. I've seen some videos of techs using them for a lot of things other than trim panel removal. It will be like the seal removal "pick" tools that I bought about a year ago- I've used them to release automotive electrical fittings, prying and...

Cleaning tools, pumps etc after flooding.

Getting flooded *****! I was flooded after Hurricane Harvey and took some power tools apart and just cleaned them off with clean water and/or CRC electrical parts cleaner. I let everything dry for several days before reassembling the tools. It worked for me. I think the key is to let them dry...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Christmas Eve at 230PM I discovered that the battery in the Tahoe was dead. There was no warning whatsoever, it just up and died. I did some quick checks and it was the battery- the voltage dropped to 7VDC during the attempt to start. It is a four-year old battery but the car just hasn't been...

    16th Annual GJ Secret Santa!

My Secret Santa, dhammond, really knocked it out of the park. He clearly did some extra research since he sent my wife and dog both presents addressed personally to each. He sent a wonderful note as well. We apparently share quite a bit in common including our wives' names being very similar and...
