Question re battery capacity and power. Milwaukee M18

You need to use a bigger battery. I have that vacuum and run a 9.0 A-Hr battery in it. The vacuum works great for small messes and I use it all the time to quickly clean floor mats.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I'm glad that it worked out for you. I wasn't clever enough to turn the switches like that, and it sure looked like it wouldn't clear. Also, my friend must have bought the generic version of that pressure switch because the air fitting would not work without struggling with the assembly.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I just helped a buddy of mine replace the pressure switch on this same model. You’ll have to remove the belt guard, pump and motor to remove and install the new part. Then you’ll find that the unloader fitting to the pressure switch is a different place than the old part. The air fitting on the...

    Punctured garden hose repair?

I used a similar tape to temporarily repair a coolant vent hose on my car. It held just fine for two weeks until I could get the replacement part Clean off the hose as best you can with soap and water and rubbing alcohol. Then follow the directions on the tape. I found other uses for the tape...

Use the spray foam for doors and windows. It doesn’t expand as much as the regular kind. Use less then you think you should.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Today I swapped out the radiator and water pump in the Yukon. The original parts are 12 years old and have ~ 207,000 miles on them so I‘m not really surprised that it was time.

Am I getting old? No more air impacts?

I wouldn’t get rid of the air tools. I had to pull out my IR 1/2” air impact wrench a few months back to remove a crank bolt on my Volvo. I don’t remember the last time I used that air tool. The biggest Milwaukee M18 impact that I have is rated for 3/8” and I bought it because I almost never...

Pocket door adjustment screw doesn’t hold

Johnson Hardware offers two versions of the roller and one of the options includes ball bearings. IMHO the ball bearings are worth the upgrade.

Pocket door adjustment screw doesn’t hold

I replaced the cheap, 1970s builder’s grade pocket door hardware with Johnson Hardware parts and the four doors in my house are butter smooth. The old “j channel” tracks were awful.
