Anybody build their own dining table?

My SIL has built a few tables, here's some photos. He built two of the square tables, one for the family and one he sold. He also did the steel bases.

    metal car shed foundation

Yeah, gravel will work, I don't know how cold it gets where you live but if it gets around 20 degrees the underside of the roof will frost and of course when it melts it will drop onto your car, I have one of those Versa-Tube type buildings and had to line the underside of the ceiling with a...

    Help me buy some scaffolding

For uneven terrain I built these to finish my addition. I'm sure I'll get slammed but they were very sturdy and if I had made a railing they would have been very safe. Of course they were a one time use and then dismantled.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Had a small leak at the rear of the intake manifold. Yeah I'm still running the stock manifold on the 351 Cleveland hence the hoist. The stock heads can breath though, the intake ports are almost 2" wide, and close to 2 and 1/2 inches high. It's so nice not having to drain the coolant or...

    Finally, decent internet with Starlink

Your speed is really good but your latency is worse than our company's 50x10 DSL circuits. Finding a company that has a direct connection to the cloud is hard these days. Starlink is great except for the latency, it horrible. Here's my gig circuit which is way too fast no matter how many...

    Lawn Mower Oil Change Questions

Honda engines do this after a lot of use, it's the rings, once the piston swells up from heat the smoke stops. I have a honda walk behind that I bought in 1988. It started smoking all the time and that's when you install new rings. The last time I did it the rings and head gasket were under $30.

    4 cycle string trimmer

I use them to manicure my lawn and almost never for tall weeds and grass. Sorry to brag but I'm a surgeon with one. I have always used a curved shaft trimmer that when looking down on it the hub turns clockwise.

A tale of two mini splits

If the heads are near your work area you can put a large tarp up to divide your shop. I do this and I can leave the garage door open in the area I don't work in and it still stays cool where I work.

I want a UMS425 Honda bent shaft string trimmer but they're not sold in the US. If a trimmer turns counter clockwise I can't use it.
