    I hit the SK lottery....

Okay, so using the Dresser Industries statement on the label, we can assume the case, at least, is from '67-'85. Can we narrow down that time from using the AJ Foyt from the same label? The reason I ask is the SK logo. I always assumed the rectangular SK on those cases was from late 70's...

Which tools are hazardous when de-rusting via wire wheel or steel wool?

Thanks everyone; especially Neophyte, as that's exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I'm always thinking about this after wire-wheeling. So, would there be any concerns about using these tools, handling them, or is it just when using a wire-wheel on them? What about these? Cadmium?

That thing is awesome! Though, I agree with you, looks like wood to me. Such a shame.

Vintage 'racing logo'd tool box ID?

They were made by Park, if I recall correctly. Well before my time, but I've seen them, and, yes, the graphic is quite cool.

Harbor Freight Aluminum Pipe Wrench made in USA?

This will sound a tad bit overboard, but the BBB should be all over this. It's absolutely an intended effort to deceive American consumers.

What do they normally look like? Any pics of them in their natural state, or so-called?

Which tools are hazardous when de-rusting via wire wheel or steel wool?

Which tools must you be careful with when cleaning up, or de-rusting? For some reason, I believe I've read Barcalo tools have hazardous materials (Lead) within the tool itself. True? I mainly use oil, WD-40, steel wool, and a little wire wheel for those stubborn items. I'd like to eventually...

    Am I crazy?

Let me begin by telling you I'm the furthest there is from a professional mechanic; so take what I say in stride. I'm on the other side of the fence. I'd rather have an old, once high-quality, box in beat up shape than a shiny new debatable medium-quality one. That goes for a lot of things. Give...

    2014 Garage sale thread!

Well, today I found what may just be the best ratchet ever, better than Snap On dual 80's. I'm really flabbergasted in just how silky smooth the Bonney A707 is. Apparently, after a little research, it's a 90 tooth, and from the 60's, I'm guessing. Anyone have one, or know anything about it? My...

Today's pick up: Wen 199 soldering gun kit, with box. It came with a 50/50 lead bar, some solder, and a manufacturer's warranty/service pamphlet, dated 1963, which I forgot to put in the picture. It is in absolute pristine condition, and will be replacing mine. I also got a few goodies...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

So, like most, for some time now I've been hoping for that outstanding buy of a roller or a top cabinet at a ridiculously low price. Well, here's one: a 1983, made in the good ol' US of A, Waterloo roller. I'm not one for stickers, but I may just keep that one; simply because my grandfather has...
