    2014 Garage sale thread!

Itinerant: Nice pickup on the Craftsman 1/4" set with case. I have one, but I don't have the case. I'm always on the lookout for one, though. My set did not include the ratchet, nor the extension. So, who knows?

That pawl is on the wrong side. Whomever lubed it put it back incorrectly.

What's the deal with used Kobalt tools?

So, what about this wrench? Williams or not? I picked it up last week at a yard sale for 25 cents.

What's the deal with used Kobalt tools?

How do you know if it's from the Williams era? What markings should we be looking for? Pics?

    2014 Garage sale thread!

It was at a flea market in NH, of which I've now been to twice. I was expecting to find cheap vintage full tool boxes, top and bottom rollers, etc. Nothing of the sort, unfortunately. I suppose I'll still be on the hunt for those.

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Mid-Century Moto Mecca Makeover

I'm still at a lost, but thanks. I'm beginning to believe it's definitely an auto kit anyways. I guess it's not a Guzzi set.

Actual proof one brand is superior when it comes to sockets?

I came across this this weekend. It's a Plomb 5/8 12-point deep well from the Forties. Seems to me someone used an impact wrench on it.

    2014 Garage sale thread!

So, it can hold a lot of weight? What do you think per drawer? It's roller bearings. Thanks. I'm actually considering shaving a 1/2" from my bench 2x4's. I probably won't though.

Need ID help! Vintage Mortorcycle/Car Tool Kit

Yeah, Heyco, Hazet, and Walter all look the same. It's the logo that's really driving me nuts. There's nothing else other than the logo on the wrench.

Need ID help! Vintage Mortorcycle/Car Tool Kit

Thanks Moto. I've been spending far too long online searching for a answer on who made this, or which vehicle it came with. Obviously, I still don't have any answers. As you mentioned, I can rule out English, and thus it's not a Land Rover kit. I've noticed the wrench is identical in form to...

    2014 Garage sale thread!

I got this for $20. I usually see them listed on craigslist for $100-200. It's quite large with smooth rolling drawers, and I have no idea where to put it. I was thinking on the bottom shelf of my workbench, however, it's 1/2" too tall. Ugh!

Well, let me start, great thread; it's certainly one of the reasons I joined the site, or at least became interested in such. I love the style of your house, and obviously your attempts to bring it back to its glory. I'm not sure if you follow the Tools section of this site, but I've recently...

Need ID help! Vintage Mortorcycle/Car Tool Kit

So, I picked up this kit for $1. There are no labels, with the exception of one marking on the wrench, of which I'm not familiar with. I bought it at a somewhat estate sale, where the widow and her family were selling her late husband's tools, and garage stuff. Typical situation of things being...

    Tool Cabinet ID Please

Top is absolutely a Huot. As Nine says, it's missing the front cover, which would have the embossed Huot oval. Though I don't think that tray is original to the box. Huot trays are larger, and are normally red in color.
