    buried airline

Another idea is to find a local hose shop and purchase almost any size hose. You could check into some 3/4" hose and just run it through a PVC sleeve. Make sure to dry the air well before the underground line. I believe the air hose is only $1-2/ft + fittings.

My new almost dream shop 25x32

Thanks guys!!! Any scissor lift can be flushed with the floor. You just have to get your lift then build the concrete trough to match the height. It's best to make it deeper than your lift then shim up the lift so in case you put a different lift in there.

Metal vs drywall ceiling in garage

BTW: it's "Offense" Who says it has to be "the most attractive way". If any of us did it differently than you, fine. We all have different opinions. But there is no right or wrong way to make it look. I did mine partly to be different. and because I like the look of it. So does everybody that...

Metal vs drywall ceiling in garage

Was it mine you saw??? :bounce: I like the ease of putting the steel up. It looks nice, it's different. Everyone comments positively on it. Drywall would have been so much slower and more work and hassle on my cathedral ceiling. You have a lower easier ceiling so it wouldn't be so bad. It...

    Very interesting spark plug situation

Re: changing plugs in a 2003 f-150 ???? You will want to start a new thread for unrelated specific question. I just threw new plugs in an 04 GM 3.4 Aluminum heads with 123k(not mine). I had read horror stories about snapping them off too. But they all came out rather easily...

Show us your compressor plumbing and manifolds

I have a drain at the other end of my inwall line that I have yet to install a valve on for draining. But here is the pic of my manifold I threw together. It's all 3/4" from the tank to the inwall pipe right to the T stubbed out where it's reduced to 1/2" then 3/8 for the reel. The stub outs...

    Fire Stop Cable Penetration

Top plates should always be sealed for drafts as a minimum. It's best to contact your local inspector and ask. I used spray foam that was approved by one inspector only to be told it wasn't accepted by the next. So its best to find out from the actual one who will inspect.

    White Tool Boxes

I think white would be a fine color and look classy. Seems like it would be like a white car, contrary to popular opinion it actually shows less. The white in a sea of other typical boxes says POW LOOK AT ME.

Thien cyclone separator with 1 7/8" hose?

Your local box store shouuld sell Vac adapters designed for attaching different sized hoses. The one I have is rubber and has a 2 1/2 on one end then stepped sizes on the other that you cut of at the correct size. Otherwise HF has 2 smaller portable dust collectors that sit on a platform with...

    Sharkbite Fittings - permanent?

Like any product out there...it has it's uses. Will it work for other things, sure. Should it be used in other situations...probably not. I'm one for more permanent connections. Anything other than a permanent connection should be considered temporary. Have I used them, sure...but only in easily...

Thanks to all who helped with my lift

Also consider a tall jackstand to put under one end of a long truck for example. Helps to steady and stabilize. I picked up a HF with a 20% coupon for $56 or so. Seems to be a decent unit.
