Getting wireless signal to detached garage

Just for kicks I took a usb dongle type wifi adapter and stuck it through a hole in some tinfoil somwhat shaped in a parabola. It dramatically extended the range. Try that or use a large coffee can. You might have a good enough connection for your needs.

Wife bought a fountain? Want to run underground wire to outside outlet

My vote would be conduit also. What if some fool comes along and puts a stake or something through it. With conduit just repair the damaged section and pull new wires instead of digging it all up.

    Dealing with Mosquitoes

Yep a fan works good till you walk out of the Airstream. Another good excuse for a closed insulated shop with A/C:rocker: There are also natural remedies. I just read one recently, I believe it said rub orange on your skin as a repellent.

    Drywall Crack

Drywall is an aesthetic finishing product. Sure you gain a little bit of structural support from it. So if there is a crack it can be repaired by caulk or retaping. In the end the result desired is eliminating the aesthetically displeasing crack. If your really concerned about it, look into the...

my tool box sorry larger photos

Never apologize for large photos that allow the viewer to actually see the intended object. :rocker: How do you find the socket you need? I need a bit of organization in my sockets. But if it works for you then more power to you.

    insulation between trusses?

You would notice a huge improvement in the comfort level in the heat and cool season with even a little bit of insulation in the trusses. Insulate above before the side walls.

    insulation between trusses?

1" foil styrofoam has an R7 or so. You could also just sister a 2x4 etc to the side of your bottom truss chords to make it narrower.

I think I would make the rear of the stand rectangular\wider rather than tapered, so a rear stand could be used on the top, for changing the rear tire etc.

    Typical compressor discharge port size??

No offense...but I don't buy the manufacturer knows best. I previously had a big box 60 gal, with a 3/4" only had 10 cfm. Now my newer beefier IR which puts out more, came with only a 1/2". They just buy tanks and what's on there is on there. They probably spec at least 1\2". I have seen at...

    Typical compressor discharge port size??

I think I ended up buying a socket that fit it, then using a breaker bar and a cheater bar. That was after trying to budge it with an Impact. Took a bit...but I finally got it off. :rocker:

Can you apply polyurethane foam directly to roof sheating?

This is a room add on I completed, where they wanted the spray foam on everything. Including the underside with about 6" then covered in Plywood. I believe the cost was around $3200. It's really the only option for a vaulted ceiling like that. It turned out great, and the customer was happy.

    Typical compressor discharge port size??

My newest compressor came with a reducing bushing of 1/2". I wanted 3/4 like my old one, and to match my new line. So I just removed the old one...was quite a chore to get it out. But took it to a plumbing warehouse and bought a 2" to 3/4" bushing for about $3...problem solved.

    Trailering question

I will also agree with almost everyone, weight is fine, length is probably fine. What I would be concerned with is the weight and pounds per square inch on the decking. My lift had like two blocks under the whole length of the posts. So half the weight on each block. Put some steel or extra...

My new almost dream shop 25x32

Yes I have put many hours of planning and brainstorming into all aspects of my build. I have worked on many projects in many conditions so I have lots of real world application experience to draw from. It's been a lot of work, but in the end it's very worth the effort.

can i use drop ceiling lights?

You can finish your ceiling like normal, then just screw the lights up to the ceiling I believe, depending on construction of the lights. You could spray foam the underside of roof sheathing and trusses to get proper R value then mount lights to bottom chords of trusses. You could hang the...

can i use drop ceiling lights?

Some are engineered and spec'd for insulation others aren't. Kinda like a 6pt socket vs a 12 pt. Do they both work for the same thing...sure, will one work better than the other...yes. They were designed for different situations, similar but different.
