how the heck do you guys stay motivated???

I hear ya...I have been burned out a few times. But just keep plugging away at it and next thing you know you will be nearing the end. Working alone is kinda rotten. Especially the rotten jobs that you don't want to be doing.

    Welder Extension Cord.

For the bonding in this application. I assume you mean Gnd bond? Why would the boxes need it if the Grounds were properly connected?

    Newbie from NC

So put it in :bounce: If it makes you feel any better, I got $300 into my heat and A\C in my shop :) A $100 used furnace, and $200 end of season sale on the A\C. Sure is nice to walk in and crank up the climate control year round.

    a little DIY granite countertops

For the cuts I wonder if it would work better to place the large piece to be cut on 2 2x4's so the 2 final pieces are on the same plane. Then cut the end of the cut a little bit maybe an inch. Then go back to the beginning and make your full cut. Then when you finish your cut the last little...

12' ceilings or scissor trusses?? or??

I used parallel chord trusses, so I could use a short wall but still have the height inside, while still staying similar to my single story ranch house. 10' walls, roof pitch is 5/12 and inside is 3.5/12 giving me an inside height of 13' 6". I wanted the shop to match somewhat, the house and not...

    shear walls & bracing education

Instead of the 1/2" foam, you could use the 1" foil faced and get an additional R7 or something like that with minimal thickness.

Which is the best 1/2 air impact gun in the market, Ingersoll Rand 2135Ti Max?

To be more precisely accurate...the Type V male will not fit a standard Type M female coupler, because the Type V is bigger. But the Type V female coupler will accept a 1/4 Type M male but not the 3/8 Type M male. I think there is a little confusion happening. The Type M have 1/4 and 3/8 bore...

Which is the best 1/2 air impact gun in the market, Ingersoll Rand 2135Ti Max?

Maybe there is some confusion. My statement is accurate, the 1/4 NPT threads and 3/8 NPT threads male couplers will both interconnect with the Type V female coupler. Here are the part numbers off my packages to verify: S760-1 1\4 NPT S762-1 3\8 NPT Male couplers: The coupler portion is...

Which is the best 1/2 air impact gun in the market, Ingersoll Rand 2135Ti Max?

What I referred to as versatile is that everybody I know uses the standard Type M style couplers. I switched to the Type V which flow much better and will accept the Type M or the Type V. So borrowing or loaning tools is no issue without an adapter. The Miltons are also available in the 1\4 and...

    Air compressor location

Well considering the pump uses oil, and cold temps and oil don't work well. Yes the weather does affect operation. But how much, it depends on what temps from your unknown location and the viscosity of the oil in there.

I believe these are the ones being referred too or similar. Prevost Couplers on Youtube

Which is the best 1/2 air impact gun in the market, Ingersoll Rand 2135Ti Max?

That's what I've heard, but they cost more, aren't as easy to find and aren't as versatile and compatible with the M standard that most I have seen use.

Rookie in need of advice, anchor bolts.

Not to beat a dead horse...but that is the worst "new slab" I have ever seen. On the anchors, here the Redheads are fine I think 6" long and 1/2" is minimum and at least every 4'. Just for comparison, here is a pic of the top of my frost walls.

    table saw welding table

Definitely check out the classes. I took a MIG class that was 2 nights a week about 3 hrs each for I think 3 months and cost like $120. It was a blast, and I learned a bit too.

Replacing and modifying HF or NT hose reel for more flow

Every restriction removed will help. You enlarging the bore, did make a difference, changing the couplers will also. One of the biggest restrictions is likely that standard male coupler bore. You ever seen how small they are. Same problem with your hose reel. That's why I bought a reel with 3/8 NPT.

I was actually in the local HF store and looking at the Red, and I think black too. Just walking by noticing if needed later.
