what kind of air line couplers do you use?

To prove a point to all the guys, buy one of each of the Milton type V then install the female on the line. Then run a current tool off it noting the power. Now switch the male fitting on the tool and try it again. You will get an immediate increase in power with the switch. It also helps some...

Sheeting on top of collar ties to hold insulation.

Thin sheet material spanning 3-4' or more is gonna sag very bad especially with more weight on it.You could do a regular ceiling with large attic hatches for access.

    Insulating Rafters of Hip Roof.

Best would be spray foam the rafters. But that is a little pricey. Sorry to bear the bad news but putting in a ceiling is the best option. A few 2x4's, vapor barrier, drywall and decent insulation will make a huge difference year round. And it really doesn't cost much.

My advice is multiple light banks so you turn on what you need and switched outlets so you can add or change your lighting.

    Building simple inexpensive garage cabinets

I searched CL for cabinets and got a whole kitchen of cabinets that were torn out and in good shape. They were $100 for the whole set. I did have to make a couple doors and slightly modify 2 of the face frames because 2 of them were blind corner cabinets. That will give me almost all the...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Found a ten plus year old oil paint marker, got it flowing again and decided to paint my impact socket numbers to make them easier to read. It's so much easier to grab the one I need now.

What did you do "TO" your garage today?

Re: What did you do to your garage today? Maybe a Mod could capitalize and Bold the "in or to" of the titles to make it more obvious.

Compression - Show Off Your Compressor

I personally would do the same style with 3/4" pipe from a local store. Just purchase the filter regulator separate. But I'm sure you would be fine with the included 1/2" too. Would anyone notice any difference? Probably not, but it just makes me feel better.

Show off your impact wrench. Take a pic of it and Pls share w/ us!

Aircat 1000-TH With Milton Type V High Flow fitting. Works excellent and is very quiet compared to many others. I started out with one of the cheaper Coleman, and it was a joke comparatively. Doing it over, I would try the Earthquake line at HF.

Folding Ladders and their Equivlent Off brands Little Giant, Articualting type 20in1

I have a steel 13' hinged 4 section ladder that I love for it's stability and strength. I also have a 17' aluminum Cosco that can make 2 separate shorter step ladders and is height adjustable as a 4-8' step ladder. It is also a great unit and especially stable. When you start getting it fully...

    Haven't got a clue!

As for what kind of building, you have plenty of options. If you have the concrete slab already, then all you have to do is build 4 walls, a roof, and your set. Regular stick built framing with trusses. You can even go to your local big box store and get a garage kit ordered. But I would...

My first suggestion would be to find some local Amish or Mennonite. They should be able to help you rather easily.

My new almost dream shop 25x32

Thanks Gentlemen :rocker: I really like the look and function of the highlift door tracks. It's the only way to do it for the clearance on the lift side. I originally was gonna just do the lift side to save the extra cost, but decided it might look goofy only one side. Philwire, I went as big...
