Red Wing Shoes - made in china!

Whites, Nicks, Red Wing. Spending good money on good boots pays dividends. Skimping, and you will pay. Buy what best fits you and what you can afford. I am in boots 14 hours a day, 10 days a month at least.

    Painting a whole house

Rent an airless. Good rollers are will do well, but once you are masked, airless is awsome. And airless still move a lot of prodcuct, and very high pressure, and if the tape is not secure, it will lift and flap in the wind. You can also get extensions so you can, depending on machine quality...

    Tool truck or online?

Guess I shouldn't tell you that my Snap-On guy came over for dinner with his truck a few nights ago:beer: That cost a few bucks when the truck is in your own driveway for a few!

    Lawnboy problem

Any chance you are running gas with ethanol? My 2 stroke equip runs much better with ethanol free gas. Easier starting for one thing.

    Storage drawers/retailers

While browsing through here a few weeks ago, there was a member here who sold storage drawers and such. Similar to Lista and such, but not quite as high dollar. He had links below his posts on his signature line. With multiple searches, I have had no luck finding him. Anyone have any idea who...

    school me on chainsaws please

Stihl or Husqvarna. That being said, a friend owns a rental shop and has all Echo saws. They do very well for him. During our last ice storm, he bought another 12. Keep chain out of dirt, and don't cut with the tip. The cheaper, less powerful saws can only just barely kill you:-)

Alton Compressors vs Harbor Freight Compressors

Very true. Ask how often they drained the tank. If they look at you funny, you may, at that point want to leave. Other than that, scour Craig'slist.

HOA says "No" to external toolshed. What to do?

Add me to the above. HOAs are a double edged sword, and all you need is a little Napoleon on the board to ruin it for everyone.

    Gday.

Exactly! So if you were here, would send ya a text, drop ya a line so we could do a pub lunch at the Powerhouse. Then we go to my house, bust some knuckles, swap a few lies during a bull session. I will be at Station 16 2maro on Engine 16. What I mean is, I am at work 2maro on Engine 16...

Airless sprayer from Home Depot, what to do?

An airless demands that you cover and mask everything. They are fast and efficient, but overspray is part of the game. I love using them, but prep is the key, like in so many things.

Mix it up! Pawnshops can be your friend, as some garage sales are as well, IF you have the time.

Tell me how much my new truck *****

I have owned over 20 Ford vehicles, including 4 Ford diesels. And the 03 6.0 is why I own a 5.3 powered Yukon XL that my wife drives. (I went back to an old 99 7.3 and 6 speed). Looks like you did good! Or, YOU ****! Nice ride!

Would you buy remaining Craftsman USA tools?

Short answer, yes. If I was worried about them going away, (which could happen), the price of a hand tool is not going to break me. Someone in the USA made the tool, and I bought it. The Chicom stuff sits on the shelf, as I will not buy it. Still lots of good stuff to be found at pawn shops...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Picked up, arranged, moved shelf and roll-away. Trying to figure out what to do with my late father-in-laws tools. Lots of Craftsman, some Bonney, (his wife asked that I take the Snap-On stuff my wife and I had given him over the years. Plan is to...
