    Trans adapter for floor jack

I think the jack I want to put it on does not have a removable pad so I might have to invest in a trans jack,I took a cheap made in China floor jack and made a somewhat trans jack out of it to remove a trans from a U pull yard but it will not go high enough.

    Old tool brands to avoid

My first tool set was made from cheap tools from the 50s and 60s,I still have them and will have to get them out and look at them again. They were great for working on bicycles which was all I had back then.

is anyone still using the old Makita 9.6v nicad stick pack tools?

I had very good luck with those 7.2 and 9.6 stick battery powered drills then newer versions and those batteries seemed to last longer too. I used a 7.2 drill at work for almost 20 years and replaced it with a 9.6 different style battery Makita drill and could not get the batteries to last much...

Cordless tool batteries going dead over the weekend

I probably run them down too much,if a battery is in the flash light there have been times it was left on and when I came back the battery was completely dead. I bought replacement batteries for the 9.6 at Batteries Plus and they told me to drain them so that is what I have done.
