    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

My first try at a multicolor print. Neat to watch the AMS work while it is printing.

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I ran a couple of prints through the newer printer and they came out great. So this morning I did a benchy and took some pics and a video of it printing and listed it on FBMP along with a print dryer for 325. I had about 6 replies in around 2 hours. It's on the way home with its new owner...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

Just picked this up, another P1S but with the AMS2 Pro and a box of filament and supplies for 500. I already have a P1S so I will move one along. I've wanted to add an AMS for a while and a similar setup came up a couple of weeks ago and was gone in a day. So I saw this and figured why not...

My attempt at dust collection on a vintage Unisaw

I got the 3d printer a few months after I mostly finished up with the saw. It's one of the Bambu P1S models and it has been a big help printing out stuff for DC and bits and pieces for the CNC machine like hold downs and such. Heres the link to the video that I got the design for the blade...

My attempt at dust collection on a vintage Unisaw

This is the bottom of the cabinet after a year of use. Not too bad. And very little dust collects on the top or sprays from the front. This is the dust port for the saw and the bandsaw that sits nearby. It's a 6" line that splits to one 4" and one 4" to (2) 2" lines. Gotta love the 3d...

My attempt at dust collection on a vintage Unisaw

A 2" hose runs from the bottom of the shroud into the opening of a 4" port I put in the bottom of the saw. Sorry no specific pix of that but you can see the port here: Besides the hose in the cabinet I had to try and reduce the amount of air "leaking in" the saws base so I could maximize the...

My attempt at dust collection on a vintage Unisaw

I finished this project up about a year ago but never got around to posting it here. I've had a couple of table saws before, started with one of the cable drive craftsman contractors, moved on to a new Y2K vintage unisaw then at the height of my OWWM obsession replaced it with a Delta 12/14...

Delta 40-440 Scroll Saw Electric Question

Its got the original badge that hasn't been painted over with that non original green paint. If you decide to paint it back to the orignal gray, then you can get those pins out and keep the badge from getting any more paint on it. Shame it doesn't have the retirement light with it, those...

Delta 40-440 Scroll Saw Electric Question

No reason to keep the mag switch. Thats a 1/3 hp motor, a glorified light switch is enough, though you can buy a powertool type switch online or at the big box stores. You could probably sell the mag switch and make a few bucks off that, they don't build them like that any more.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Weisenheimer's Bicycle Haus

You and my wife share a the same feelings about the critters. As for the GS, it was the first recumbent I got and I put a TSDZ2 on it about 3 years ago. All the bikes have aftermarket motors, I cant justify the expense of Bosch or other OEM motors that are 4x the cost. On this bike it works...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Weisenheimer's Bicycle Haus

Cabinets look very nice. But I gotta post a comment about the hot tub. A couple of years ago I had to fix a leak in a Jacuzzi we had bought back in about 2003. I had replaced the rotted exterior wood years earlier and then the electronics fried due to a leak by the heater. I replaced the...

Anybody have the HF 3 shelf roll cart?

I have one too. Got it last year. I cut it down a couple of inches so it could slide underneath the tablesaws's fence rails and strore related **** and bs. I can either roll it out or roll the saw out as needed.

rewiring 3 phase thermal overload switch to single phase w/VFD

Just keep in mind that VFD's aren't big fans of dust as they have a small fan in them for cooling and will **** a lot of dust in and it won't all get out. And they do need air circulation for cooling so if you are going to enclose it, it has to be large enough for said cooling to occur. You...

rewiring 3 phase thermal overload switch to single phase w/VFD

I understand what you are trying to do but not quite sure about the switch you are working with. Is that switch a low voltage control switch (uses a magnetic relay to hold the contacts closed) with remote contacts or is it a conventional switch with a separate current limiter? Ive done a...

    Solar power grab

Just an aside, in my little neighborhood there are two houses that have had new roofs put on and a whole bunch of trees taken down. Wonder why that is?

1939 Craftsman Companion Metal Lathe 109.0701

It clamps to the v ways, has a moving pivoting handle. Are you familiar with metal spinning? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_spinning It's only a guess on my part, I looked online just for S&G and couldn't find any match to the image.

Atlas 912 band saw with Powr-Kraft motor

Thats a nice little saw. you can tell just by the pix how well thought out and built it is. I picked up a Clausing 16" DP a while back and can vouch for how well they made machinery. HF is is at the far other end of the spectrum.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Weisenheimer's Bicycle Haus

Very cool. I'm into bikes as well (recumbents)and have three in the garage/shop along with a bunch of woodworking machinery. One thing you might want to think about is finishing off the ceiling for two reasons. First, it acts as a fire stop if something in the garage catches fire. Drywall...

What to do with tools that just don't sell?

Anything with a cord is tough. You can drop the price way down but the cheaper the price, the greater the knucklehead factor of the clowns that will be hitting you up. I wouldn't advertise them for free either, same issue with knuckleheads. If there is a habitat restore around that would be...
