    Monday-morning-quarterback my design work?

very well thought. I'm no engineer, but I don'T nothing worrying me. everything seems well overbuilt with a good safety margin (look like x3 everywhere) I doubt the safety betl would do anything in case of a locking pin break. ps.: when sitting on the pin(as well as went moving up and...

How Much Weight Can Loft in my New Garage Hold?

it's not redneck....but it's useless : the framing won't really hold more then the actual plywood would. it's a rental: just use it for lighter stuff: a bunch of car part doesn't weight THAT much...unless it's a complete engine or big suspension parts.

Shop Floor Vacuum, What do you use?

I have a rigid 5hp 16g vacuum and really like it. could be more powerfull, but with the water vaccuming end it make a great job. (Just have to replace it every 4-5year because the small "feet" get grinded flush)

Commerical grade of Rapid air flex line?

pvc conduit large radius cost a bunch. No need to bury it like a water line...never you'll see enough water to burst the pipe. with air running through, the worst could be 1/8 full per say. how much cfm do you need at the destination? 120' run have a huge amount of cfm lost!

How To Attach Lights To 4 Post Lift

I wouldn'T be worried about the small hole. But if you are: just find a screwable magnet and screw them to the light Or even better : simply epoxy earth magnet to each end of the light. (You can get a bunch of earth magnet on ebay for not much money.(That's what I would do)

How Much Weight Can Loft in my New Garage Hold?

Keep it that way. adding a double layer of plywood would make you feeler more confortable about the structure which you shouldn't. put stuff on it as is, and when the actual 3/8 plyswood start to bow a bit, stop ading more weight.. IMO better have the plywood bow a bit as a warning then any...

Wire Rope for a shelf base

I have used laced steel rod to make stuff like shelves, but can't find the real name of that thing. (I'ved been given the "bent" steel rod and laced them myself.) :| it's very sturdy....not sure how actual rope would do (been tightening them will be hard and can't easily weld multi wire cable)...

    Protecting exposed slab insulation?

the lightweight concrete pannel 1/2....yes the stuff with the mesh built in. whatever in that style. It's mainly just to give it a firm backer for the stucco. If you kick it, the cement board won't deflet as much as the XPS and won't crack the stucco.
