Old cans of un-used motor oil... Usable ??

I think you're right..... those cans are 25-30 years old. Started driving/servicing my own vehicle in '90 and I never poured oil from cans - all was plastic bottles then.

They were probably calculated correctly .... before the pad/floor was poured.

Any suggestions for a quality parking mat to contain snow etc?

I was going to call the cops..... someone stole your X5, but they evidently replaced it with a Q5, so no harm done! lol Looks to be a quality product. So, the idea is that liquids will drain out the door? Any problems with that tail (outside the door) flapping in the wind?

    Looking for crack advice

Cures hard, so if something shifts in the future = another crack. I'm thinking a pliable/flexible product may be better.

    Looking for crack advice

I would, certainly got other things needing to get done, but some are in a part of the floor that I wash cars on and I don't think its a good idea to keep filling them with water & dirt. Plus that same area gets parked on and being in the northeast, I don't want salt building up in those...

    Looking for crack advice

Wouldn't more "bite" for the filler material be offered by the jagged nature of the sidewalls Vs. the smoother cut after chasing? I'm seeing beveled edge and V shaped blades - how much would I want to grind out? Does your filler allow movement and still maintain a solid bond (if things are...

    Garage Stereo Systems

that is sweet! nice addition w/the blue LED's. Been scanning Craigs myself for some old pioneer/panasonic/sansui/akai recievers for use in the future. Prices are high in my area, if it's listed as "vintage" they are asking a fortune it seems. Today's equipment is no comparison to how they...

    Hot glue question

I havent come across any conductive hot glues, the basic whitish/translucent kind are all I've had. I've used hot glue to insulate and fasten electronic components many times. I bet there's many kinds of arts and crafts glue that may have additives. As long as you don't see glitter flecks in...

Bypass Cable Tension Monitor of the Liftmaster 3800

yeah, you should have no troubles with the cable tensioners (if you were to use them) as you have a high lift track setup which leaves much of the door wieght hanging vertically keeping the cables taught even during the initial downward motion. Question for those with the 3800's - Do they ramp...
