    tap and die sets

I agree with this. Carbon steel taps best for cleaning up threads or lighter duty threading (softer metal). High carbon taps are usually a duller grayish with lettering stamped into them. High Speed Steel (HSS) taps for cutting new threads in steel. HSS are very polished bright in...

C-Man 12 Piece Full Polish Deep Offset Wrench Set

I ordered the CM pro deep offset 12pc set last spring. The set had a double of one size and missing a size. Had to go through a little run around (three separate phone episodes) getting that corrected. Last phone call went to a separate sears tool division and the lady was nice about the...

Has anybody here bought anything from "eToolDirect"?

I have ordered from "etooldirect" a couple times. One time I had trouble with their website as far as confirming orders. Woman on phone was very polite and apologized for the trouble. Shipping prompt and no real issues. Forgot to add... would have no issues ordering from them again.

Fedhill nickle copper alloy brake line

Don't think they would use pure copper, work hardens to easily (meant to say cunifer?). CuNiFer is an alloy that works very well for brake lines. Picked up a roll at a local autozone recently. Think it is referred to as their "performance" brake line.

    raised panel hatred

I have noticed on my CM raised panel wrench set I used at work had very sharp edge around the actual raised panel on some of the wrenches. Made getting stuck (larger) fasteners a little uncomfortable. Compared them to a friends older CM raised panels and the edges around the panel were made in...

    LED Dash Lights

I have bought from Super Bright LEDs and had no problems. I replaced my wife's dash lights in a Saturn. I tried the "regular" and they would have been ok for me, but I got some of the "high output" versions for her. They are somewhat brighter and the dimmer still works as it should. I...

Whats wrong with my impact gun?

Agree with this... I used to work at a place that used these to death. Taking them apart in not difficult to access the impact end. When the gun spins under no load, but stalls under load with no impacts, the anvil may be cracked where the hammers hit. We where able to order extra...
