Adding Eaves to Existing Metal Pole Barn

My build has the roof that pretty much ends at the wall. I'd like to dress it up with 1 or 2 foot overhangs all the way around. I'm planning to replace the roof shet metal, so it will be exposed and a good time to do it. Anyone done it before? I'm not totally visualizing how I will go about...

Replacing Pole Barn Siding / Dressier Options

I’d rather not paint it. The reason for replacing is more to fix the buggered up panels. More I think about it, new panels probably wouldn’t lay over the old very well in places. Just trying to assess how much effort the deskin and replace would be. Especially since I have content inside

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Anybody know how to get a deal on the 44 inch cabinet? When do they usually go on sale? I’ve seen people say they buy them for 379, yet I see them for 479 and no coupon

Replacing Pole Barn Siding / Dressier Options

Is that an option? Didn’t know you could do that. That would be my preference

Replacing Pole Barn Siding / Dressier Options

Have a 40x50 ship. I've spent a lot of time and money on the inside making it just right, but the exterior is a little tired. The building is ~20 years, and the metal is starting to show its age (I didn't build it). Several tears in the side form the tractor, few spots were it leaks a small...

    Turning gorilla racks into cabinets

I have a bunch of the large metal heavy duty shelving units. To make things look a little cleaner, I would like to build sides and doors around them. Anyone ever done that and could share some pics? They are the large ones from costco

Scotty, you use the sikaflex if it is post coating?

    Leveling joints after epoxy

Any other options that would cure "hard" and level? Wishing I would have done under the epoxy, but that ship's sailed. I'd still love to see a sikaflex pic, but I think I've seen that before and don't care for that look.

    Leveling joints after epoxy

The mezger guys told me if I taped it well and immediately dragged a puttry knife at a 90 deg angle after applying it would work. Anyone have pics of the sikaflex? My understanding is that it's slightly "squishy", collects dirt, and doesn't give the same effect as the the polyurea which...

    Leveling joints after epoxy

Epoxy floor is done, but I’d like to fill the joints. My understanding is that the sikaflex that Home Depot sells is not the right stuff as it doesn’t get hard like the floor. I’m told that metzger mcguire rs88 is the right stuff, but it is pretty pricy. Anyone have any experience or other...

Problems with mr cool mini split install

yeah, shortly after I posted I realized my stupidity. I had the breaker installed in a top slot opposite the main panel breaker. That particular slot didn't have the tabs connecting the two slots, so couldnt get 240. Moved it to a proper slot and all worked well!

Problems with mr cool mini split install

Got the 36k btu mini split all installed but it won’t turn on. Have voltage at the input terminals (120 at both L1 and L2). It’s obviously 220. Is there a fuse or something that should be Checked? Manual says just use the remote and turn it on. Pulling my hair out.

    Remove concrete from epoxy floor

Looks like that concrete dissolver is not an acid. Is it fair to say it shouldn't damage the epoxy?

    Remove concrete from epoxy floor

So I had my driveway replaced after my nice epoxy floor was done. In the process, the concrete company managed to get concrete slop on the epoxy floor that dried. Doesnt appear to want to come off too easy with pressure washer. Any suggestions on how to remove?

Options for patching holes in metal siding?

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm curious if there are any other creative solutions for side panel patching. I have two gashes in the side where I ran into it with the tractor, and I'd like to patch without replacing the whole side (but don't want it to look terrible. Patch cut out of profiles...
