    75 buckaroonies for harbor freight

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up getting the electric die grinder, electric half inch impact (20 percent off), a four way lug tool, cut off wheels, die grinder Arbor, and a free flashlight. Ended up spending 40 of my own cash. All in all a decent trip to hf.

    75 buckaroonies for harbor freight

Just got a 75 dollar gift card to harbor freight for my birthday. What should I get? I'm thinking about getting an electric die grinder so I can finally get the bed off my comanche and can't afford a compressor right now. But im on the fence. Recommendations to get the most out of the 75 bucks?

"The Most Trusted Jack On The Market"

That is some of the dumbest **** I've ever seen. But at least his brakes have that rad red paint on them. Won't be too much cleanup for the next owner of the car.

    mechanix gloves worth buying?

I use the heavy duty nitrile gloves the most. Cheap harbor freight.. I hate wearing gloved in general but the nitrile gives just enough insulation to keep my hands warm in my cold garage. And aren't too thick.

What should I pay for a Classic 96?

I really really really don't see the benefit of buying a box that costs as much as a car. It's a metal box with metal drawers... Only way I'd consider paying 5grand for a box is if it came full of tools.

Are there non-metal wheels/rollers replacements or jacks?

Soo.. Take the cheap jack... Put the wheels in a lathe.. Put a couple grooves and some o rings and presto.. You've got a non marking floor jack.

    Breaker bars

Basically what I am getting from this thread.. For roadside tire changes a breaker bar with a socket is the way to go. For the weekend grease monkey they are nice to have, but if you don't care about your 3 dollar ratchet a chunk of pipe will fit the bill. I'll save my money for other tools :)

    Cool looking ratchet...

Tried to get this ratchet just because I thought it looked different. No idea how good or useful it is. Price went up to more than I'm willing to pay not knowing anything about it. Figured someone here might know more or be interested in it http://m.ebay.com/itm/221325221812?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

    Breaker bars

What makes a good breaker bar? They all seem pretty simple and hard to make them wrong. As long as the steel used to make them is good it seems the bar would be just fine. I know the purpose of them is to protect your ratchets but I don't use expensive ratchets. I have home Depot mechanic sets...

    Torque number with Anti-seize

Most people don't know how to properly use a torque wrench either. I was one of them up until about a year ago. I would always tighten a bolt down and then throw the torque wrench on it. If it clicked, it was good. Wrong wrong wrong. If it clicks without moving the bolt at all it could very well...

Ebay: Vintage vs abused piece of sh#t

I am trying to get into doing some tool respiration projects mainly to outfit my garage, but possibly also to sell for some extra cash.. To outfit my garage. I am having a hard time figuring out what items are actually worth restoring and which ones were **** from the day they were made. It also...
