I think I may have talked myself out of radiant floor heat. The way I plan on using the shop will probably be on short notice and maybe a week or 2 a month. From what I have read it would take to long to get the temperature up on short notice. I have seen some post where some people are heating...

my 2 cents worth......from what I have read the cut needs to be 1/4 " deep for every 1 " of concrete. for a 4" slab cut should be 1" the nice part mentioned earlier was the t strips that have the proper depth

planning for floor drains......even though I may never need them I have decided to install 2 floor drains in my 44 x 30 garage. What would be a reasonable size pipe to run under the slab? Also, can I tie them together or run as 2 singles?

This has got to have happened to others as well. Anyone ever been welding, cutting, grinding and smelled some thing burning? Yep, you guessed it. My shirt or pants or socks. Flannel really burns well by the way. It's a serious subject but others may learn from our past experiences.
