    Craftsman USA (Danaher) 3/8” K1AC

I bought some craftsman 3/8 & 1/4 sockets from what I think was a military surplus set - new. It came with a 3/8” ratchet - USA K1AC 44811, however, Im not able to find any references of the K1AC code so I don’t know year or company, but I suspect its Danaher 2011-2013. It’s an orphan in my box...

SK - New ratchet with stains?

I just purchased 3 of the 4 ratchets from the recent steals and deals and the 1/2” ratchet has these weird stains. Tried taking them out with microfiber but they’re still there. The stains dont protrude and seem like they are a result of extreme heat. Any ideas what this is? Is it a potential...

Ratcheting Wrenches - Is this the start of an addiction?

Im sure most of you have over 10+ ratchets, but for a guy like me who has a desk job and tinkers with things on weekends, this is much more than I need. Yet, I find myself wanting more. Kobalt USA - 1/4”, 3/8” & 1/2” Craftsman USA 3/8” SK LP90 - 3/8”, 3/8” flex, 1/2” *1/4” LP90 is arriving...

Incomplete Wright Set with Different Gen Wrenches

Would it bother anyone if their wrench sets are pieced together with different Gen models from the same make? Ive been piecing together a Wright chrome SAE and MM set, adding to it when I find a deal. The standard set is mostly Gen 1.0 chrome with a 3/4 thats probably much older (and supposedly...

Husky 1/4” Ratchet and Sockets USA

Hello! I was helping my father organize his tools and found a 1/4” Husky ratchet 20201 and various 1/4” Husky sockets stamped USA. Im not sure how old they are and so Im not sure if these are made by New Britain or Stanley. The Ratchet looks like an SK ratchet but apparently, SK didn’t supply...

Craftsman USA made drills gone at Lowes.

Yesterday I went to Lowes to but a few things and get a new Craftsman USA made hammer drill to complement the impact driver I have since my Milwaukee is on its last legs. My Snap On Wish List

I own many SK, Wright and Proto tools because they’re easier to find good deals on, but no Snap On. Attached images are the tools Id like to have. Any ideas on how I can get them at a discount? Probably next to impossible but I just thought I’d ask.

    Kobalt 1/2” Socket Sets SAE Metric (0338618 & 0338619)

I’ve been looking for USA made 1/2” sockets but couldn’t justify paying hundreds of $ for something I won’t be using often. Although made in North America is my preference, I found some Kobalt SAE and Metric 1/2” (0338618 & 0338619) sockets at Lowes for $20 each on sale and bought them...

Craftsman 44811 K1AC USA vs Kobalt 22316 USA

I bought both of these ratchets a few months back and I believe they are made by Danaher with the same ratcheting mechanism, but they don’t feel the same. The Kobalt actually feels tighter and has less slop than the craftsman yet the craftsman was way more expensive. Was Kobalt USA a more...

SK Tools Steals & Deals 3/2021

I ordered the 12” tongue and groove pliers and the 3/8” LP90 ratchet. Seemed like good deals but I didn’t really check on reviews much. Any testimonials on the ratchet? There’s not a whole lot on youtube and the few reviews that are available, some say the ratchets aren’t properly lubricated...

Multi-Branded Multi Function Long Nose Pliers?

Anyone know which Asian State owned conglomerate from the far east made these multi purpose pliers? I have the Craftsman version and they’re ok but don’t fully extend and the wire cutters arent as sharp as they should be. Craftsman, Husky, Odyn and Goldblatt - exact same pliers.

    Wood River Ratcheting Screwdriver Kit

This kit looks awfully familiar. Looks like the ratcheting mechanism on the Klein, Irwin and SATA ratcheting screwdriver. Is there a SnapOn kit like this? I tried looking and couldn’t really find one. I’d like to 3D print my own handle design. Or’ make one out of wood. I have an idea of...

Tsunoda/King TTC - Japanese pliers - best bang for $.

Considering the price point and steel quality, these are by far, the best pliers you can get at an affordable price. Half the price of the Proto’s I just posted on yet twice the tool. Edges are not rounded out, but the fit, finish and precision are excellent. I highly highly recommend these...

Proto Pliers. Not worth the $.

Steel quality is probably good, but fit and finish is garbage. Gaps, uneven tips, tight and uneven tip and center point making opening and closing difficult. I’ve seen Chinese tools that work better and don’t have these fit finish issues. What Stanley Plant/Factory are these made from?
