Thank you Thomas, and I will point out that there is such as a thing as muffler bearings.:wtf: The application is for inboard engine boats and Vipers.:p There are also other vehicles that use them.

The original use of the rain chain (kusari-toi or kusari-doi) was by Japanese temples Thomas. It's an interesting idea but would you mind trying to get a pic of how they attach? I think it just might be the ticket for our shop even though we don't get that much rain as a rule.:( One other...

Think rabbit stew or roasted rabbit Chris. It's very tasty as well as pickled rabbit. You also get the benefit of a better harvest as well as a balanced diet.:p

If you time the fall cutting I'd get a bunch of guys together and have an old fashion rabbit shoot Thomas.:rocker: You could have a rabbit fry afterwards along with the car club.

Been there and done that myself Thomas.:willy_nil When it happened to me it exploded on launch though.:eyecrazy: I was very lucky and it didn't come through the floor but it did shear the snout of the ****** and made one heck of a mess. Just glad you weren't hurt because I know what can happen...

It is in fact a 17 spline axle early 8.2" early GM axle.:D Up until the mid 60's most axles were built the same way. They're really heavy and by going with a cast iron center with pressed in tubes GM saved money, weight, and production costs on the cars so better gas mileage as well as lower...

My hat's off to you Chris. I was one of those kids that had to have "activities" thrust on him by his parents. Mostly my mother. Baseball, football, band, choir, and anything with some sort of social (yea right) redeeming value.:lol_hitti When I didn't have all that **** going on I was usually...

Those lines looked pretty good for some I've seen and worked on over the years Thomas. Since they're multi-layered with a woven steel liner they usually hold up really well even if the outer layer of rubber is gone.

If it was one of the smaller ones like the Super A you could put it on a trailer with a bushhog and start your own business. That's what I wanted to do with my uncles.;) Just a few tools like the bushhog, a rake, and a bailer you could do quite a bit of hay work when someone wants some cut.:rocker:

BTW Thomas. Do a search on evilbay for Thexton. There's some really nice old tools that pop up once in a while. I keep an eye on for special tools and just recently there was a chevy 6 cylinder and Buick 8 cylinder spark tester that popped up and both for less than $10 each plus shipping.

Love the fact that you were using a Farmall to work the soil Thomas. My favorite is a SuperA since I spent many hours riding and working on one while either visiting or living with my Uncle. Wish I'd gotten it when he passed but my greedy cousins sold it for scrap rather than offer it to...

I stopped using photophukit many years ago since it takes forever to load something on it. It just isn't worth my time to resize ect. I load directly to the board so there's always a record and a pic, even if it's something you've got to click on to enlarge.;)
