    Catching **** for cleaning tools...

I always looked at it like this. I wash my truck and Harley's pretty routinely and I've spent more money on my tools than on them so why wouldn't I routinely clean them too.....

Had never seen this before (now I own it).

So I was in the electronics supply store yesterday and stumbled upon this. It seems like it will be a useful tool to have around. Had never seen long locking pliers before.

    Let's see your toolbox.

I respect my ex-wife everyday for how cool she was through the divorce and the fact that she didnt touch or care about my tools or harley's( and I didnt care about her jewelry or handbags).

And when I Die - tool disposal

I actually did shut it off with his bother as best we could but my guess is that it hadnt been shut in along time. We werent able to get it completely closed and since it was Sunday and not a Water Dept work day we werent going to risk breaking it. To Contactme, not in agawam, in eastern mass.

And when I Die - tool disposal

This thread really caught my interest. My neighbor died almost a year ago, he was in the middle of a divorce and all in all it wasnt a pretty situation. In the end his house sits abandoned next to me, his two vehicles are still sitting in the driveway, the house was mostly picked clean by family...

    motorcycle techs

You didnt really mention what you already had but a motorcycle lift is a wonderful thing. If you're in the market for one I have been happy with my Titan lift. I got it from a dealer in NH, Clark Heintz NHproequip.com. They were great. I also found when working on my CBR900 that a good set of...

    OSHA Shop Laws

SMF, dont be overwhelmed. While it may seem like alot, if its a small shop and you have some common sense that it wont be that bad. There has been alot of good info passed on here as well as some bad too. 1. "Dont call OSHA"- I agree but there are other ways to get the help if you feel you need...

    OSHA Shop Laws

Well first off I would not suggest you call OSHA. Based on what you said your business would be doing I would not consider you to be a high risk industry. That means you'll likely never see OSHA unless you have an accident that either you have to report or is reported for you by local public...

Any problem with leaving a portable compressor filled over time?

I wouldnt expect any problems with leaving the tank charged at all times as long as you manage the condensate. I have tanks that are 20 years old and have been charged non stop for that entire time expect during inspections. Your tank will ultmiately get thinner from corrosion over the years...

    Snap on warranty experience

Just wanted to pass this on to the other members. Yesterday I called snap on customer service to inquire about replacing on warranty the gas springs on my KR791 that are pretty shot and not reliably holding the lid up. She asked what dealer i had bought it from and I answered honestly that I had...

Tools/Equipment that you're afraid to use?

I wouldn't say scared of but there are a couple that Ive earned alot more respect for over the years. One of which is an air nailer. I've attached a "picture" of my hand to show why. We were working in the pouring rain on a volunteer job and the gun double hit, one went into the wood on a...

    Roof Fall Protection Question

I dont have much experience on that type of roof setup but have some experience with Body harness' and decel devices. Make sure your connection points are no less than 18 feet off the ground or the system will not be effective in protecting in the event of a fall. Just to explain that a little...

    Tool Box Stickers / Magnets

When I read that I thought I agree, but for a different reason. They are like tattoos, they make a statement of where the box has been and what the owner is into, very much like tattoos can. I love 'em. I try and keep most under the lid but I definately have some "that show" too.. Yep, just like...
