    Hammers: I'm confused.

I have an Estwing 20 rip that I bought back in high school. Built a house, several garages and our family cabin with it, its seen alot of work and abuse, I even lost it for a year or so and then later found it, covered in rust. Cleaned it up and put it in my box at work. It has more...

So Why Do I Want a Leatherman?

My leatherman kick saved my *** twice in a treestand and once in my boat up in sturgeon bay, in 6ft waves, I got back because of it. I just got a Supertool 300 from my wife for Christmas, it will be worn at work daily. I could use the proper tool, but when you are 1000 feet away from your...

House 110v wont run Husky compressor

A vacume cleaner can draw 50 amps for a split second as its first fired up, that 15amp breaker wont usually "pop" right away. Id say you dont have a problem with 110v, you might need a separate 20amp breaker, but I would try plugging that compressor directly to your outlet, id be curious to see...

    7mm Allen Wrench?

lol, I own several, all at work. I ran into this on our "old" 02 focus two weeks ago. I was going to do front brakes prior to listing the car for sale. I keep plenty of useful tools in my Stanley truck toolbox, but not this size. I went down to Autozone and picked up a set of SAE/MM bit set...

    Snap-On seal remover pick set?

Ive thought about buying that set, but ive just made a few of my own out of cheap screw drivers, Ive made them to look pretty similar. My picks have all worked well for me for the most part, so I never did buy the seal tools.

    Impact Sockets

I have a mix of random brands to make up my 1/2" set, deep and shallow. My dad bought the Klutch brand from Northern Tool for $100. Comes in a nice case and has some 3/8" in there, which you may or may not need. Not every combination of every size but a nice set for the price none the less...

House 110v wont run Husky compressor

We are going to need to know what voltage you compressor is rated for first before we can give accurate advise. If its a single phase unit, it will probably "run" on all sorts of single phase power.

I hate teflon tape, and I hate pipe dope - Loctite works 1000% better

Ive never needed loctite "blue" to seal threads, even on 10,000 PSI hydraulic tools/power units, but if it works for you thats great.

I hate teflon tape, and I hate pipe dope - Loctite works 1000% better

We use pipe tape and the loctite "dope" at work on black pipe. Threaded conduit I just use a little dope. Hydraulic fitting I use a little dope as well, a little goes a long way. Cutting your threads correctly and using sharp dies, then applying the correct hand makeup/wrench takeup is the...

tool vault VS montezuma VS harbor fright

I have the Masterforce bottom version of the TV 56, I have it loaded. Chains, nut and bolt bins, sockets to 2in, pipe wrenches, hydraulic fittings, it handles it no problem. The top superwide drawer has 4 c channels under it, drawer doesnt flex at all. Im sure the HF is great too! I like the...

    Broken tools

I broke the drive end off my 3/8 Snappy FHL80 ratchet, no cheater. No pics, got that replaced a few years ago. Just broke my 33" Craftsman indexing head prybar 2 days ago, stripped the teeth right out. It's in my truck, taking it to sears tomorrow, not much to see other than it doesnt lock.

    Plastic toolbox thread

I have a 26" Stanley (Made In USA) I got for Christmas last year, I love it! Its heavy duty, has a full length aluminum handle, a top tray. I have the thing full of decent tools in the back of my truck. I could get most jobs done, at work and at home, with that little box full of tools, love it!
