    Recessed hex head clearance question.

I don't think I've seen a table for it. Although it may exist it at least doesn't seem as ubiquitous as the ones for socket head cap screws. If you want a starting point, I'd look at Proto sockets. They tend to be some of the fatter ones, and they list the socket ODs in their catalog...

    New Tekton cabinet options

Those cabinets look identical (in terms of drawer divider style, drawer latches, etc.) to the Rousseau cabinets we have at work.

    Indexable prybars

I've got that same SATA bar and it's pretty nice, but haven't really done anything crazy with it. I'm pretty sure the SATAs are the same thing as the Gearwrench just with a different name stamped on. I don't own any "lady foot" style pry bars, so maybe I'd find the indexing bar less useful if...

Recommend me a miter saw stand

I got mine for $150 a few months ago. Just be sure to search around for the different "combo packs" or whatever they offer it in. When I ordered mine the stand alone was $200+ but the combination of the stand with a Ryobi branded sharpie was $150.

How are breakers in a surface mount raceway set up?

Thanks. That makes sense, the hot goes through the breaker and the neutral and ground just pass by... but how is this breaker fed? Like if I have a 20A breaker in a raceway, is it fed by a 20A breaker back at the panel (in which case I'm not sure the utility of this arrangement), or can you...

How are breakers in a surface mount raceway set up?

I'm used to seeing surface-mounted steel raceways full of receptacles, switches, and breakers. I was just realizing I don't really know how it works to have a breaker not in a panel (for what it's worth, I'm not trying to do this, I'm just curious). I'm talking about things like this...

Must have Snap-on tools under $50?

Jawco makes a stubby-ish one (short shaft but a normal sized handle: https://bowerstool.com/jawco-1-4-drive-stubby-spinner-handle-nut-driver-usa/), you could cut down the handle if you want a true stubby.

    Amazon replacements of HF products

The nice thing about Amazon is they carry a range of price points. For your punch and chisel example, scrolling through the results you've got super cheap imports (amazon basics, a whole bunch of names nobody's ever heard of), imports from companies with decent reputations (Astro Pneumatic...

Is Makita still at the top?

It'd be really nice if Bosch expanded their 12V line. I like the Bosch 12V handles better than Milwaukee 12V but Bosch makes so few tools it's not as attractive as a platform.

Cheap spray paint that matches Kennedy brown?

I've got a Kennedy roll cab that's got chipped paint and rust on some parts. Anybody know a cheap rattle can brown that matches the color alright? I know Kennedy sells the official color matching stuff for like $30 a can. I don't mind it being a little off and don't need to match the wrinkle...

90% off Wiha large Standard or Metric Wrenches

I think they're flat. It's hard to see in the picture of just the wrenches, but looking at the other photos (e.g. this one https://media.wihatools.com/media/catalog/product/cache/e6f1fce91a163f4286e97364d5954984/m/i/microsoftteams-image_1__3.png) they look like 0° offset.

    Micrometer Standard Source

Looks like Mitutoyo standards are $20ish on Amazon, no-name ones $5-10. I'd probably buy the Mitutoyos since it's not that much more. Still like half the price of non-traceable Starretts. Here's some storage box inspiration, sounds like a fun project!

    Help me identify this please

Hold up, I think I see what's happening here. Box with mystery contents, that somebody locked up, threw away the key, and hid under a pile of trash? Box owner mysteriously disappeared? @mds47588, you'd better have the guys from CSI there when you get that thing open.

    Cordless Miter Replaced You Miter

Just a shopvac (or nothing, if running both trips the breaker). The dust collection is pretty poor though, even with a vacuum on the guard, the vast majority of the dust just goes everywhere. I've seen some nice solutions where people have built dust collection into the fence, but I think that...

    Cordless Miter Replaced You Miter

I've been looking to add a miter saw to replace my RAS, and have been seriously contemplating a cordless. In my case it's because I've only got one circuit in my garage and I can't run a vacuum or dust collector and a saw at the same time without tripping the breaker. The $200 premium to go...

    Best File Handle?

Most of mine are from House Handle. They're kind of roughly made, but the hickory holds up well. I always mount mine by heating up the tang with a torch and hammering the handle on, and have never had problems with it coming loose.

tools to keep in the vehicle

This is the main reason I keep tools in my car. The most advanced roadside/parking lot repair I think I've ever done is tightening a battery clamp and hold down, but I've pulled some things out to help fix or assemble random **** when nobody else had tools on hand.

    Craftsman/Facom Tools

Here's the tool from Stanley, they show them with both Stanley and DeWalt branded batteries, so they're probably the same battery with different labels.: https://www.stanleyengineeredfastening.com/tools/power-tools/series-b-cordless-tools
