Stanley 10-499 was my go-to for years: https://www.stanleytools.com/product-repository/products-stanleytools/2015/08/19/10/03/10499
Recently I picked up a Milwaukee 48-22-1510 and have really liked it

I've ordered from there once, no complaints. Check out the "Tools of Japan" thread, Frank's tools seems to come up a lot there, seems like a popular vendor for folks on GJ looking for Japanese made tools.
I'd looked at that one before, and I think it's just too long for what we're talking about here. I wonder how hard it would be to modify it to be maybe half that length though...
I've looked for an extra shaft piece like you mention but came up empty. I'm 6'7" and use a Husqvarna 128LD for trimming and edging and it kills my back after a long session. Best lawn and garden upgrade I ever did was extending the handle on my Earthway spreader, I'd love to be able to do the...
I think the main advantage of a 1/4" impact is speed. I'm a DIYer and I use my 1/4" impact driver with a square adapter and 1/4" impact sockets for things like removing 10mm bolts on skid plates that have a bunch of fasteners. You certainly can do that by hand, but it's faster to do it with a...
I think that's

SOLINGEN

I don't know the company, but it looks like there's knives out there with that stamp, seems to match what you have.
Hey Jori, I put in an order this morning, but wasn't able to check out unless using PayPal. I could select a shipping address and method but when I clicked "next" it would hang (left it for several minutes and it never progressed).
Have you looked at aluminum bronze or beryllium copper pliers? They're used for non-sparking applications but should have very good corrosion resistance as well. Might be easier to find than stainless but probably not real affordable.
Hey Chris:
Do you guys sell a replacement for the swivel magnet on the 40SL? Mine's all chewed up from sticking it on jagged crusty stuff. Looking at this it looks like part 40SL-11 but I didn't see any way to order it: http://www.astrotools.com/pub/media/pdf/40SL.pdf
Thanks!
It's maybe a little overkill for a home shop, but those cheap spring compressors scare the **** out of me. If you're going to go a little overkill on something, doing it on something that makes you safer seems like a great place to do it.
I'd bet that's shop-made for some specific long gone application like adjusting a particular machine. They might have chromed over the weld, or maybe it's actually silver solder and not a weld?
I did my Avalon's (1MZ-FE engine, I think that's the same as your RX300) with a 24" breaker bar and this pulley holder: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Q8GVPY/?tag=atomicindus08-20
Don't use the little pins that come with it that are supposed to slide into the holes on the balancer--those snap...
Got a couple new ratchets: Gearwrench 81306F 1/2" 84T flex head and a Blackhawk BP-1214 1/4"( both Taiwan). Pic here comparing the Blackhawk to some of my other 1/4 ratchets. It actually reminds me more of the Wera bit ratchet than it does my other 1/4 drive tools.
Bonus picture, got a small...
