    Picture request...snap-on drawer guards.

It's like floor mats for cars. Do you go ahead and enjoy the carpet for awhile and then put mats on to cover up the ****, or do you start with mats so you can turn over the nice carpet to the next guy :) Anybody puts that John 3:16 or similar on their business material immediately sends me...

    Rapid Reel

No, Ace Hardware's own site, the other one is just an individual store that couldn't deliver to your local outlet. Gosh, I just did a search at Ace and it looks like they don't even carry them anymore.

    Rapid Reel

I have two Rapid Reels. Love 'em, way worth the money vs. the plastic stuff. The best price I found was through Ace Hardware. They had the lowest price, plus it was easy to find an online 10% off coupon, plus free shipping to your nearest Ace store. I think I paid $78 total for the exact...

    Drywall Trowel???

The best plasterer I know, and he's excellent, uses both. 5" knife, 8" knife, 12" trowel, 20" knife. He doesn't know why, he just does.

    Snap On Chest Rebuild

I'm gonna elaborate a little more on the final finishing. If you have a tactile orange peel, that is, you can feel it with your eyes closed, you need to level the surface, not smooth it. Think of your existing surface as if they were the Rocky Mountains. If you buff it with any kind of...

Polyamorics don't have this problem. Or those who choose spouses with hobbies of their own.

    toolbox drawers...

Yes, it should be possible. Did you look inside your box? You should see that there are two racks on each side with square holes at 1 1/2" increments (if I recall correctly) that the drawer slides are fitted into. Just re-arrange them like bookshelves.

    Whatever happened to Steve?

It's only been 2 weeks and 2 days. Lot's of people take two week vacations. Many people also attend global trade shows which are pretty draining. Either of those two choices are likely; one is just a lot more fun than the other...

Craftsman "Grip latch" and similar drawers ... is it just me ?

I can't speak to the Pro version of Griplatch boxes, but on the Ball Bearing series you can adjust the amount of lift required to open each drawer. Because my boxes don't move, they're all adjusted to a minimum lift. If you only occasionally want the feature, you can also quickly defeat it...

    Drywall Screw Guns

For years I've believed a few millions are to be made by the person that invents a true screw "gun", a device that would work like a nail gun. One squeeze of a trigger would instantly drive a fastener halfway in like a nail, then screw the rest of the length in and set it to the proper depth...

Wanting to flush a ******-What do I need?

    Popcorn Ceiling

The reason popcorn came into existence in the first place was to cover up **** joints. It's **** itself. Texturing is less so; not as ugly, doesn't cover up as well either, but easier to clean. OP, if your job isn't bad, I'd keep it smooth; it's much better looking IMO, and easiest to clean. If...

Level floor or sloped for drainage?

I'm surprised no one has suggested doing both. The floor will already be poured and screeded in sections. If there is a more-or-less permanent shop area, that could be level. Any areas with a higher amount of traffic or where you might want to wash vehicles or equipment could be sloped to a...

    Initial Paint Booth Plan?

Even a "real" booth wouldn't use positive pressure, much less one made of flexible materials. They are called exhaust fans, not intake fans because they operate on negative pressure. There are several threads here you can search on temporary set-ups. For the neighbors (or yourself), the wind...

    unopened box of plomb sockets

Really they just become another object. It's no different than: a bottle of 1872 Chateau Margeaux a sealed box of 1958 Cuban cigars an unopened case of baseball trading cards from 1962 a sealed first edition Star Wars action figure one of those Snap-On commemorative screwdriver sets etc., etc...
