I have the SK set and did exactly what you are thinking of doing. My only complaint with the ratchet is the selector is a pain to change. Not that big of a deal really, but just my personal preference.

I just scored 4- 4 bulb t5HO fixtures for my 3 car garage with 10 foot ceilings. They are almost too bright with the white walls. I'm not changing them though :)

Try a cinching strap or cable tie type fastener. Google McMaster Carr, they should have what you're looking for.

Wow. I guess I didn't realize they made piston type compressors that big. I figured that anything that big would just move to a screw type compressor. Good luck with that.

I'm going to need to make a HD run and check these out. We run T5HO's in our warehouse in a high bay fixture. I was talking to our electrician, and the one's we have can't (or not recommended) to be installed flush against the ceiling. He was thinking that he could find some flush mounted...

I'm in Central Cal and shipping for me was $370. More than the tile itself. It basically put it at $1/sq ft. for me.

I like the 'L' style, but that's just me. I actually have similar plans, but I'm only using 2 boxes and using the 42" "locker" on one side as book ends and the inside will have the shelving cabinet. I need more shelving space than I do tool storage. Looks good though.
