    Epoxy Before walls/equipment?

Well, floor is down and construction has started. We had an issue with the shot blaster we rented where we couldn't get an even blast pattern so one side was more aggressive than the other. I was hoping that the wolverine was thick enough to fill in the inconsistency, but it wasn't. It's not...

Garage speaker positioning: let me hear from your experience

Exactly...I guess I see garage tunes as just background noise while working on a project. Here's what I did... Picked up 2 pair of these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-402 and mounted them in the ceiling. I mounted in a way that if a car is parked exactly in...

    Compressed Air Piping

Airnet / rapidair. www.rapidairproducts.com I will be adding about 500' of pipe with the airnet system soon. I went to a local college and checked out their install using this system (airnet) for argon & 75/25 supply in a welding shop. Came out really nice. They bent some piping (I will not...

Is turning down the heat worth it?

It's usually cheaper to maintain a temperature than to either reduce (summer) or heat it up. 7 degree swing is fairly large and it may be in your best interest to reduce the difference between your "away" temp and your "home" temp.

    Rotary Screw Air Compressors

I don't know if I would necessarily classify them as "quiet" as much as I would say the noise is different than a piston compressor. We have a 75hp and a 30hp in our plant (75hp doesn't kick on until needed). There's no way a "normal conversation" is occurring during operation of either one.

    Epoxy Before walls/equipment?

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm actually looking to complete the process prior to any construction activities occur. Basically, it will be a room inside of a building. Here's a shot of the building construction back in 2006. We're going to add a room inside this building. I've got...

What is going on with S-K Tools?

Thanks for the explanation. I thought there was some pretty fuzzy math going on. $2/hr for a full time employee equates to about $4,080 of regular time gross pay a year.

What is going on with S-K Tools?

20% pay reduction from $14.00 = $2.80 reduction or $11.20 final pay. Maybe I was reading it incorrectly, but that's no where near Min. wage.

for those who like to get greasy, how do you store your shop rags

That whit plastic roll around thing is what I use for my detailing towels and pads. I think it was $10 @ HD. The red grease towels are now housed in the old c-man tool box. The dirty red towels see the garbage can.
