Yeah there's a lot of surface area by the time you do all the drawers inside and out, so if it's not rusty or down to bare metal I didn't do a lot with the drawers. I primed some all over and some just the inside and still used well over a quart of primer. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

I totally agree! I had a few drawers with paint damage inside,probably from battery acid or some strong chemical and had no choice but to do mine. Once again, less more, the results will be about the same. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Re: Update 2 I don't know if taking the drawers all the way to bare metal would be worth it. If the old paint is completely dirt and oil free, then prep wipe, scuff and prime them Short of using electrolosys or lots of sand blasting getting the drawers down to bare steel is.. well a bear...

To put it this way, I was taught that torque instruments are to be treated as well as possible in a shop enviroment. That being said, after a while a torque instrument will wear , calibration and tolerances change over time from use. If its 10.00 bucks or a 1,000.00 it will wear out or go out...
