    My New 24x40 Shop Build

I'm gradually moving my tools and equipment into the shop - and it's a total disaster. I installed Racedeck in my work area, but will have to dust it off before I take any real pics. Here's one of my new workbench, when I had just sanded and sealed it. Installed a Big Maxx over my loft, and...

In floor heat, something doesn't seem right?

It's listed as a 32,000 btu boiler. He's not going to see much higher rise than that. Slowing the circ pump down might make a higher rise, but it will still take just as long to bring it to temp. It's generally sufficient for the climate and insulation, but to control it to household comfort...

In floor heat, something doesn't seem right?

I'm not a heating expert, but 30 degrees is about the maximum btu output of your slab size. It will take time to heat your slab, whether you have your boiler set at 95 or 125. During a 24 hour run, you should see your return temps gradually rise. 100-110 would probably be a better supply temp...

    Gauging heat loss from slab?

It does to me. I poured my house's slab inside of a stem wall that is insulated up to the surface and it will slowly melt snow out to a foot or so, eventually, if there's no new snowfall.

Ok, now we seen all the fancy and

I love it. I thought I was the only one more likely to cat litter my floor than epoxy it  I'm usually too cheap to spring for cat litter though, and just use sawdust.

    Drain for Furnace opinions needed

Frank gave the same answer I thought of - heat tape on the line. I never thought to hook it up so it just worked with the furnace though.

Will this affect my heating bill?

It will probably be a very small amount, and like mentioned, probably not even noticeable on your bill. The danger of CO isn't when the furnace is running (like you said, there's positive pressure), but when it shuts off there's a direct run from your register in the garage to the floor...

It was a nice day so I tidied the shop and took some pics.

Have you ever wished the 4 post was a 2 post? I already ordered my 2 post asymmetric lift after a lot of debating. My decision was more based on less room taken up with the 2 post when it's not in use... But for alignments, a 4 post would be nice.

    Cutting RR track...

I used a angle grinder with a cutting wheel. It cut surprisingly easy - but figure on taking a lot of use out of your wheel.

    My most recent eBay purchase...

I used a h2 to heat my old house that was around 2400 sq ft. It had no problems. When it got real cold, I'd add a little coal to it to extend my burn times.

    Dog Fence wire

I used 14 gauge solid thhn 2 years ago, and the only break I have had to deal with, I caused by digging through it with the backhoe - Duh. I fenced about 4-5 acres in, and through a rocky patch full of saplings, I just laid it on top of the ground.

    Home Lift Suggestions

After a LOT of research and bouncing around from scissor lifts, to portables, and the slew of 2 posts I finally made my mind up and ordered my Bendpak XPR-10A this week

has anyone painted their black pipe?

I rattle canned my gas lines when I ran them, and plan on doing the same to my air lines. I didn't bother with much prep or primer since they'll be up and out of the way.

    Please help, floor not draining.

You could probably tile it and get enough pitch to move the water where you want it. You could skim coat it too, but would have to etch it well, and even then I'm not sure how well it would hold up.
